Stunning

We visited here as part of an organised walking tour. If you’re looking at the front of the building from the park, then there’s an entrance on the right hand side, just down the side street. For 10 lei you can go in when there isn’t a performance on to look at the grand staircases and up into the auditorium itself. The decoration is well worth the entry cost, particularly if you can’t see a show but still want to check the building out.

    Beautiful building
There is an entrance on the right of the building and with 10 lei you are in. The guy gave us a small paper for information and we got in. The entrance hall is very impressive and there are a couple of statues of famous people who were here. Afterwards you can visit the real hall which is very cool and has a great acoustic. This is an absolute must-do when you are in Bucharest.

    Absolutely amazing on the inside
I had organised a night walking tour of Bucharest and the starting point was the front of the Romanian Athenaeum. The building is impressive on the outside, but the guide suggested we could go inside if I was willing to pay 2 euro. I'm glad I agreed to pay the 2 euro - the inside is absolutely breathtaking. I would love to see a concert in here one day. Make sure you look inside, not just out the front.
