Tau Cao Toc Phu Quy Express image

    - Linh Son Truong Tho pagoda = Taku Mountain = Ta Cu Mountain
    Religious Sites
Linh Son Truong Tho Pagoda image
TripAdvisor needs to consolidate these 3 listings because they are all the same thing. It makes planning more difficult than it needs to be. That said, this is an attraction that you just HAVE to see in person as pictures do not do it justice. The Reclining Buddha is majestic in it's sheer size! You will have to ride up a sky gondola to get up the mountain so if you have fear of heights or enclosed spaces, be warned. If you have no such fears, the gondola ride is beautiful. As with many other nature attractions in other developing countries, there will be trash along the way to distract from the real reason you're there. As a added bonus, keep an eye out for swinging monkeys in the nearby jungle! We didn't see any hanging around the actual Buddha but did catch some in the (far) distance. See more..

  10. 4.5 Vinh Hy Bay (18 reviews)
    - if you want to do absolutely nothing for a couple of days
    Bodies of Water
    Vinh Hy Bay image
If you want a few days to do nothing at all this is the place to be. One resort and almost nobody speaks English. That is my kind of fun. They have a good swimming pool and the restaurant have a great menu card (in English)and there is a fantastic fish restaurant on the other side of the bay. You can rent motorbikes to explore the surrounding area. Lots of vinyards. You can also make a boat trip to see the coral. Or you can walk in the small village and try to speak with the locals. But most of all take a good book, one of the chairs next to the pool and do absolutely nothing at all. Doesn't that sound great? See more..

  12. 4.5 Phu Quy Island (12 reviews)
    - Best kept secret - very rural island
    Islands
    Phu Quy Island image
Phu Quy is a very small fishing island, ‘Island of Precious Riches, located about 120 km from the mainland of Phan Thiet, Vietnam. As it’s still controlled by the military, foreign travellers must obtain a permit to visit Phu Quy. The island captured our heart with its natural beauty, as it hasn’t been spoilt by heavy construction and fancy resorts. Travel agents in Phan Thiet and Mui Ne can help you obtain a permit, or you can go the direct route. It took us two days to get a permit. We made two vlogs of where we stayed, what we visited and the off road riding with our bikes. For 300k VND you can take your bike on the Superdong Ferry. You can watch our video about this Island on our Youtube Channel - RoamingRebels Vlog 21 and 22 (link in bio) See more..
  13. 4.5 The Shrine of Our Lady of Tapao (11 reviews)
    - Statue on the mountain
    Religious Sites
The Shrine of Our Lady of Tapao image
The Marian Shrine of Our Lady of Tapao is an interesting place that has attracted much attention due to the funny things that have reported to have happened there, from divine apparitions, miracle cures, the statue's cloak moving to the sky changing colours, whatever the case or wateva vids people have upload on YouTube it is a site that attracts Vietnamese pilgrims of every faith & religion to pay homage & to ask for a wish. The bottom foothills where the 400-odd stairs start has become a commercial free-for-all as the Church does not own the land so unrestricted commercial activities such as roast port vendors (traditional food for worship & offerings) have sprung up everywhere. Beggars & the poor both professional & legit, the maimed & deformed have flocked to this site like a freak show hoping to gain from pilgrims, they line both sides of the lower stairs like a gauntlet of horrors, holding out their hands chanting, i probably saw over 60, making it a harrowing experience in itself. The staircase leads to a wide platform with a large white statue of the Virgin Mary overlooking a wide view of the surrounding farmland & the La Nga river. Groups of pilgrims of every religion pray at the site & is a place of reflection & worship. Surprisingly the site has no church, I understand they are trying to purchase land there to help keep this place from becoming an amusement park of horrors with every kind of shady character & beggar south of Saigon converging there. 16. 4.0 White Sand Dunes (3.282 reviews)
    - Nice sunrise
Monday: 4:15 AM - 6:15 PM Points of Interest & Landmarks
    White Sand Dunes image
Southeast Asia is usually associated with a wet, tropical environment, but, in the area of Mui Ne, Vietnam, lays a beautiful desert. white sandunes is 50km away from mui ne central ,the city of Mui Ne is four hours from Ho Chi Minh City, in the south of the a further 45 minutes, and you arrive at Bau Trang, Bau Trang, or the White Sand Dunes, is one of the only desert areas in Southeast Asia and is a beautiful expanse of dunes and sand. There are no camels here; instead, shepherds herd cows through the sandy expanse. Perhaps the most striking part of the area is a small lagoon covered in lotus flowers. Beside the lake, there is also a small pine forest that makes the wind cool, even in the hot Asian desert. See more..
  17. 4.0 Fairy Stream (Suoi Tien) (2.701 reviews)
    - Nice short walk
Spent < 1 hour Nature & Wildlife Areas
    Fairy Stream (Suoi Tien) image
We did the sunrise tour to the white sand dunes using the tour through our Mui Ne Budget Hotel, and part of the tour is to visit the fairy trail which I would recommend doing. There is an extra entry fee which I can’t remember exactly the price (I think it was 20,000 each). It isn’t expensive anyway. The stream and surroundings make for some lovely pictures, and there is a very small waterfall at the end. The walk itself is actually quite short but nevertheless it’s worth seeing. See more..

The Po Sah Inu Towers have been part of our tour to the Pa Cu Mountains. Ok our driver was a little bit lazy and we spent nearly 1 hour waiting for him.... 22. 4.0 Ke Ga Light house (81 reviews)
    - An acceptable short trip
Points of Interest & Landmarks • Lighthouses
    Ke Ga Light house image
It costs 120.000VND for a return trip by canoe for 2 of us to the lighthouse, and I think this price is reasonable. It's quite sad because we couldn't climb up the lighthouse due to its old and vunerable inside stairs. If you love camping, the island is also a wonderful place for that. Please keep the environment clean and take all trash with you when you leave. There is not much shadow, so you should prepare umbrella and hat ;) See more..

  26. 4.0 Forgotten Land Sand Sculpture Park (32 reviews)
    - Underrated gem in the area
    Points of Interest & Landmarks
Forgotten Land Sand Sculpture Park image
I had been living here for months before I first went to the sand sculpture park because no one seemed to have gone there and aver recommended it. I was very positively surprised. The sculptures are great, the range of international artists impressive and all the sculptures have a common theme, folk tales and legends which are explained on displays next to the respective sculpture depicting it. Those tales are very interesting culturally and the sculptures are just great to see even if you’re not into folk tales See more..

I am rewriting my review of the Phan Thiet (Indoor) Market as i have earlier made a link to the wrong indoor market!. Sorry!!!.✌✌ Anyway, the Phan Thiet (Indoor) Market is definitely worth visiting, as far as i am concerned. There are stalls here selling fruits, flowers, local cakes as well as beautifully wrapped (in red!) gifts for wedding couples. There are also some stalls selling local food. Again, I enjoyed my visit to the Phan Thiet (Indoor) market this afternoon. See more..
