- 5.0 All American Airboat Tours (20 reviews)
-Great Experience
Boat Tours
Great Experience and a must do for anyone visiting Florida or anyone who has never been on an airboat. We booked the trip to take grandson's 10 & 12 on a ride to experience true Florida and our love of airboats. All American Airboat Tours came recommended by a friend and we are so happy we chose them for our tour. The ride brought back many fond memories of our airboat days and we were able to experience our grandsons first ride on one. The thrill of flying over the water and lily pads is awesome. Grandsons have been on boats but never anything that travelled over both water and land! They both wanted to ride again. From reserving a time slot with George and having Derek captain the boat, it is a first-class operation. Wonderful dealing with such nice people. Will definitely recommend to others and hopefully return with grandsons for another thrilling ride. This is a bucket-list item for sure for anyone who has never been on one and All American Airboat Tours is who you want to use. See more..

- 4.5 Wild Bill's Airboat Tours (393 reviews)
-Wild Bill's Airboat Ride
Boat Tours
This was my third time on Wild Bill's Airboat Ride, but the first time for my girlfriend visiting from State College, PA. She was very apprehensive about riding on an airboat. She was afraid an alligator would jump in the airboat; the airboat would flip, or she would fall in the water. She admitted she watched too many TV shows about airboats. Captain Steve was wonderful. He handled all the passengers with respect and alleviated my friend's fear of being on an airboat. One of the favorite parts of the ride was Captain Steve guiding the airboat sideways while moving the airboat forward at the same time. Captain Steve was knowledgeable about the wildlife, the surrounding area and the river. This is a must-do experience when visiting Inverness. See more..

We were walking around the town of Inverness and saw the Old Court House Museum. The museum was very informative about a variety of subjects including displays of Elvis’s making a movie in the court house to archeological exhibits. There was a lot of displays and information. I would recommend over an hour to take it all in. In addition to the exhibits the building itself was very interesting. See more..

-Excellent Day Use Park
Parks
What a gem of a park! This is a wonderful place to spend the day, there is so much space and activity options. This park is CLEAN!! The bathrooms, playgrounds, walking trails, all very clean and taken care of. I have been many times over the past few months (various times of day) and have not noticed any of the local vagrants loitering in the park, trashing things, looking for handouts. The staff do a wonderful job maintaining a great, family atmosphere in this park! See more..

We found this park by accident after walking through Inverness. There was plenty of places to sit and enjoy our picnic. People were so friendly and kept stopping for a chat. They could not understand why English people were there, as Inverness is not a tourist area. The water was very clear and we saw many turtles and fish. The boardwalk was very well maintained and obviously a pleasant place for the locals. See more..

- 4.5 Holder Mine Recreation Area (4 reviews)
-Excellent hiking trails!
Spent More than 3 hours Nature & Wildlife Areas • Hiking Trails
The trailhead is pretty much a parking area and a kiosk with maps. Nothing else needed once you are hiking on these beautiful trails. My bff Buc and I decided to hike the "A Loop" because it's a trail on the Florida Trailwalker list. Mapped as 6.70 miles but felt longer with all the hills (Yes! I said hills). 50,000 acres here with miles of hiking trails, including the Florida National Scenic Trail. Holder Mine has a campground and hunt camp also. Excellent hiking trails and located just 2 miles from SR-44 in Inverness. Hiking is FREE! Highly recommended! Bring drinking water and your camera. Tons of photo ops! See more..

Helen's Consignment Boutique at 105 West Main Street in downtown Inverness, FL. Owner Ann Modine and her helpful staff made shopping a pleasure. Several dressing rooms in the back. Also a three-way mirror. Small consignment shop with a high standard of what items they accept. Every item I looked at or tried on looked almost brand new! I was immediately drawn to the sale rack, where you could buy 3 items for $5.00. Several in our group could only find 1 or 2 items, so they combined their items for the discount! They also carry bridal gowns (very gently used) While we were there there was a little girl trying on a flower girl dress. Store hours Mon -Fri 9 AM - 6 PM Saturday 9 AM - 3 PM. See more..

- 3.5 Regal Citrus Cinemas 6 (9 reviews)
-Super Overpriced Snackbar !!!!!!!! But Great Movie.
Movie Theaters
Wife and I only go to the movies if we think its really worth paying for overpriced tickets to support hollywood a holes. We really enjoyed Top Gun Maverick as Tom cruise is still a great actor and we also enjoyed seeing Val Kilmer even though he doesn't look good. Ed Harris only had a small part. My problem is the prices. We got senior tickets as we are "over the hill" but we are not cheap. Senior tickets were $10 for the 12.15 matinee on Monday. The ridiculous part is $8.49 for a medium popcorn and 46.49 for a medium soda. At least it was Pepsi and not coke. Next time we will just put some candy in my wife's purse and go out to eat after.
