Traveling from Detroit to Traverse City we just found this place on a trip advisor search. What a gem! We all enjoyed the village, the friendly people there and a lovely late afternoon train ride. Genesee County should be commended for a wonderful historic park! See more..
4.5Flint Farmers Market(199 reviews) - A gem in Downtown Flint Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Flea & Street Markets
While some of the restaurants are a bit pricey, I love the variety of foods, arts, entertainment, and - of course - the availability of fresh produce. Only being open three days a week makes each day crowded. But I guess that adds to the liveliness of the place. I love the new space. It's a nice addition to the Downtown Flint area.See more..

Been reading some bad reviews about Bluebell beach. Yes, it can get crowded on a holiday when everyone has the day off but generally is is not and there is room for everyone. The kids love the water park and large sandy beach, the restrooms are clean, BBQ gills are available. The e-coli situation is when it is very hot and it is from animal waste runoff, you know birds and deer. It is monitored constantly so there is no danger, if the levels are high just don't go in the water. It is a safe place to visit and there is a park ranger station (certified police) one mile away.See more..

I wanted to see Styx again (live in Chicagoland) and the closest they played was in Flint at the Capitol Theatre. I'd never been to Flint, let alone this venue and I pleasantly surprised with what I found. It is a restored, classic theatre with nice sidelines, a friendly staff, and relatively close parking. Another nice aspect was the area - even post-show, I felt safe walking down a block to my parking spot. Seating is nice - seats are a little wider and the floor is slightly angled up and gives each seat a decent view. As is typical, people are friendly in smaller cities and I was not disappointed with Flint and the Capitol Theatre. I'd go back in a heartbeat, if the option presents.See more..
I enjoyed a Firebirds hockey game with my brother here. One level seating with not a bad seat in the house. Overpriced concessions and under quality taste. Beer prices are decent. They have a gift shop that is extremely overpriced for the merchandise. VUP parking is available in the rear of the building for $5. The venue was clean along with the restrooms. Staff was friendly and armed security was plentiful making you feel safe (even though entry did not require a search or metal detectors). Good team with nice entertainment between periods. I would definitely return for a game but eat somewhere else prior or after.See more..

So you can easily see these all on the street, and most of them are in one paved square along the sidewalk. They explained of course about some well-known pioneers, as well as some lesser-known. I'm pretty sure they spent a pretty penny on these, and if you are into cars this is a must do. It's neat to learn about some inventors that I never heard of, and how they contributed to something we take for granted everyday sometimes. Usually all we hear about is Henry Ford. Once I can find my pictures, I will post them.See more..
