  2. 5.0 Elie Beach (268 reviews)
    - My Love of Elie.
    Beaches
    Elie Beach image
This is my Family's home. What all of us love is the wide variety of beaches. Along Ruby Bay and the coastal path towards St Monans is always my favourite walk and I have found much lovely sea glass to collect. Saw a dolphin out at Lady's Tower. Another great more vigorous walk is up the far side beyond the golf course : there are old war lookouts up there. The local Deli is great & everyone tries to support the small local shops to keep them going(many have closed over the years). Lots of places to paint & it was populated once by the Scottish Colourists because of the light & the "Big Skies". I'd recommend the Pittenweim Art Festival where the old fisherman's houses are taken over by shows of art. Its trully wonderful. I'm an artist! So venture further too if you can. Good pizzas in St Andrews & great shops + the Famous uni of course! See more..
  3. 5.0 Isle of May National Nature Reserve (219 reviews)
    - Wow!!
    Islands
Isle of May National Nature Reserve image
Wonderful day on the Isle of May. We travelled over in thick haar on the Isle of May Boat Trips’ rib, the Osprey, expertly skippered by the affable Roy in pretty choppy waters. As we arrived, we were really lucky that the haar lifted and wow, what a place. The Isle of May itself was much prettier than I expected with wildflowers, mosses, rocky shorelines, lighthouses and amazing cliffs but the thousands and thousands of birds were absolutely the stars of the show....puffins, arctic terns, eider, shag, guillemot, kittiwake and loads of gulls....and seals too. The noise, smell and movement of the birds was a constant excitement and the 3 hours on the island whizzed past. The fun boat trip was the icing on the cake! Such a memorable day. We’ll definitely be back. See more..

Had the best day ever today doing the supercar driving experience. The cars were phenomenal but as well as that the staff were amazing they really added to the experience couldn’t of been any more helpful or friendly and contributed to making the day what it was. I have to say (no bribes taken here haha) that Fin was the best instructor a 10/10 with all others being a high 9 and then Rod coming it at an 8 1/2, all jokes aside though i would highly recommend the supercar driving experience to anyone and everyone. So a massive thank you to my instructors Robin, Jasper, Zak, Rod, Fin, Paul and a big thank you to Courtney for going the extra mile to finish my day the best possible way. See more..

What a truly amazing experience. Culross Palace is an exceptional and unique example or a 16/17th century home, in readily immersive and engaging. We were there for ages looking at all the small details and exceptional craftsmanship that went into the building. It is, in my opinion at least, the best display of what good works NTS is capable of producing and conserving. Would love to see more sites like this in the future. The staff member in the courtyard to direct us was very pleasant and made the rules and regs very clear, I unfortunately don't remember her name but she is exceptional at her job. See more..
