- 5.0 Zeugma Mosaic Museum (2.159 reviews)
-Must see museum in Gaziantep
Ancient Ruins • Art Museums
This mosaic collection in this museum is very impressive. I could easily spent the whole day watching every single piece of the mosaic art. Even after taking hundreds of photos, it is hard to leave the museum. This was one of the best part of our tour of Southern Turkiye. Thanks to those who built the museum and brought these art pieces together. See more..

- 5.0 Sakli Konak (3 reviews)
-Beautiful konak with interesting copper art museum
Speciality Museums
We came across this charming museum whilst wandering around the backstreets of Gaziantep on the other side of the river from the castle. The konak (mansion) is home to a collection of mainly copper items from the Ottoman era which the owner Ali Atalar has been collecting for the past 40 years or so. The pieces are housed in the various rooms around a lovely green courtyard with a pomegranate tree, which was flowering at the time we visited. We were shown around the museum by the owner's son who speaks good English and who has extensive local and historical knowledge. I would recommend this place as a welcoming place offering the chance to deepen one's experience of visiting Gaziantep and feeling its history, also its connections with nearby Kilis and Aleppo. They also serve delicious looking local food and drinks. See more..

-Very nice museum of children's toys
Friday: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM Spent 1-2 hours Speciality Museums
This museum is centrally located in the Bey quarter (which was just behind my hotel). I went there on a very hot day and definitely enjoyed my visit. Entrance fee was a symbolic 1 Turkish lira. Many toys from the past are displayed, some even from 1930s. It was very interesting to see some known toys and read background stories about them. I even found a space ship which was exactly the same like the one I owned in 1970s; I didn't know it was made in Japan! Very nice place to visit if you have time. See more..

- 4.5 Kurtulus Cami Mosque (42 reviews)
-Old Armenian church turned into a mosque
Religious Sites
This is a turn of the century Armenian Apostolic Church that was turned into a mosque in the 1980s. There are no Christian symbols left in the church except you can see the shadow of a cross on the front and back pediment. And of course, the church itself is shaped like a cross. The interior is beautiful. As in most Armenian churches, the geometry contributes to a unique acoustic of the church which I recommend that you test in any Armenian church that you visit. See more..

- 4.0 Gaziantep Castle (465 reviews)
-Excellent history museum and great views from top
Castles
Gaziantep Castle dominates the city skyline standing atop the central city hill. It's located downtown in the very center close to bazaar and other attractions. Entry fee is symbolic - slightly more than a dollar believe it or not. The interior of the Castle is converted into an excellent local history museum. It depicts events from pre WWI era, over British and French occupation onward. Museum path follows the castle layout while you walk centuries old stone blocks. Every event is described with photos, dioramas, small monuments and 3D boards. Each has English explanation and info. After the museum you exit to the top open terrace. Here you can admire best 360' city views and visit the old Mosque and Hammam ruins. At night the Castle is beautifully lit. Gaziantep castle is the best thing to do in this city along with the Zeugma Mosaic museum - totally recommend. See more..
