-Respect our Ancestors
Spent 1-2 hours Ancient Ruins
This historical attraction is on the way from Ihlara Valley to Aksaray. You need to drive into Kizilkaya Village first than take a sharp right turn over the river to reach this place. It is a 10.000 year old (Yes: ten thousand year old) human settlement. One of the first locations where humans started colonising in towns and agriculture began. Houses were build from cob. Entrances were from the ceiling. Ancestors who died were buried into the house. About 250 generations lived in that area in the past. Archeological excavations are going on and they established a copy of the old settlements. This place is very educative to visit. See more..

-Well worth a visit.
Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Historic Sites • Points of Interest & Landmarks • Architectural Buildings
A stopping place on the itinerary of the small group tour. Less visited, maybe a little off the usual tourist routes. No toilet facility actually on site. Quite an awe inspiring edifice. There are caravanseri built at regular intervals across the land ,so travellers could rest themselves and their camels/horses and trade. This one is the largest, with massive walls, vaulted roof supported by arches and columns. An impressive main gateway. Very little imagination can fill this with traders and camels/horses(think of the caravanseri described by Rudyard Kipling in Kim) Carpets were on display but also some modern art in the side rooms which was not in keeping with the character of the building. I noted that the cobbled courtyards was littered with cigarette butts! See more..

Müze kayıtlarında Nora olarak geçen antik kentin Aksaray merkeze 30 kilometre mesafede Hasandağı eteklerinde yer aldığını belirten Altın, ''Helvadere Beldesi'nin yukarısında bir plato üzerine kurulan kent, günümüzde büyük ölçüde dolgu toprağı altında kalırken, yamaçlarda ise daha iyi korunmuş yapı kalıntıları bulunuyor'' dedi.
