   Absolutely fascinating, most ruins in the lower valley are in pretty poor condition barring a few striking examples that stand out in the steppe! And several more hidden in the village itself! The churches at the end of the valley have extraordinary views and are quite well preserved considering their age! Take your own transport or hitchhike! (Taxis were exorbitant and buses are infrequent if existing). A bus from Konya will get you to Karaman easily enough and then head north by presumably the main road! In terms of accommodation, I saw nothing advertised but camped in sleeping bag the shelter of some ruins. That said, be careful of the local dogs! They are actually terrifying!    Tartan evi villa looks like a standard rich man's house externally. But a tour of this mansion, gives you a peak into the lives of our ancestors. The upholstery is very fine and maintained well. The life size Turkish dolls give a real-life like feel to the place. I found so many things that sent me back to my past - the Singer sewing machine, a radio, old home appliances etc. Go with an open mind and don't try comparing it with other palaces/ villas you have seen around the world- and you will come out satisfied. Karamanın en önemli ve en ihtişamlı olan bu yapısı Karamanda zamanında tahıl ambarları olarak kullanıldığı ve Taşkale bölgesinde yer almakta.Bu ambarın yüksekliği 40 metre civarinda ,ambarların toplam 251 adet odası varmış,Fakat her ambar odaları birbirinden farklı büyüklüklere sahiptir.
