   Went to RPM to rent a couple bikes based on its reviews and the recommendation of a bar owner just down the street. The gentleman we worked with, his name was Ko, was really, really nice, honest and he gave us a great price along with a thorough overview of the bikes and even let us take them for test rides. He doesn't charge for small scratches. Just if there's something broken. (We heard of other places ripping off people for prior scratches/ damages). Definitely consider using him.    The best elephant sanctuary I have ever visited. I wasn't too sure what to expect beforehand, but from the moment I arrived I knew I was in for a wonderful time. A very eco and sustainable farm looking after Soomboon (a retired working elephant). He is well looked after and loved by the farm. An intimate excursion caring for him, cooking and washing him in the pond. The family take care of him very well. To feed him, walk alongside him and bath him was the most wonderful experience.     We did the Jungle Cooking in Jan 2020 and we can’t recommend it highly enough, it was a fantastic experience. Nin, his wife & daughter are all lovely and looked after us very well. We learnt some proper jungle recipes & cooking methods all in a beautiful setting right in the heart if the National park. And the food was absolutely delicious! One of the best meals we had in Thailand. Also recommended for young children - we took our 3yr old and she had a great time cooking, eating & singing Frozen songs with Nin’s daughter!     We never tire of visiting this temple. It never seems busy and with the car park immediately adjacent to the temple, it’s easy to visit( can still climb up the steps if feeling particularly energetic!). The views from the temple are outstanding -only spoilt in one direction by a series of very large oil storage tanks. In recent years, the temple has built two “piers” which enhance the views out across the sea. Stunning is the only was to describe them. The interior of the temple is quite ornate and worthy of close study. There are some beautiful artifacts and photography is allowed. At the rear of the temple is an interesting collection of bonsai, some of which seem very old. An hour is probably long enough here but it’s possible to linger longer because of the views. Three is left but I'm sure that the hole project will be finished. Great dreams make great persons, so we are pleased that this monk is in our family.     Such a warm and welcoming family who are hosting Rungfah Farmstay, restaurant and farmstay. I can't explain in words how it felt to be part of the family and stay in their Garden of Eden. The food is wonderful, their classes full of fun, interesting and so many delicious dishes. The bamboo huts were basic, stylish and comfortable. Loved the coconut shower! What a treat it was to wake up in a lush of green. Seeing the hornbills every evening was the perfect way to end the days. Air conditioners seem to fight ho cool place. Although it was not very hot, the temperature dropped.     Il s'agit d'une petite ferme familiale, qui fait de l'agriculture le matin et s'occupe de leurs éléphants l’après midi, surement pour arrondir leurs fin de mois ils propose des activités parfois le matin avec quelques éléphants.
    
    nous avons personnellement fais un petit tour a dos d’éléphant (nous étions sur son dos et il se baladais tous seul ou il voulais, s’arrêtait pour manger, jouais avec des branche) et quand son maître était un peu trop loin il revenais vers lui.
    ici pas de maltraitance ou de mauvais coups du propriétaire bien au contraire la relation est plutôt fusionnel voir drôle quand il se chamaille ou se câline.
    
    après la balade on débarrasse l’éléphant de sa selle et on va se baigner avec lui, le propriétaire nous montres les petit soins a lui apporter et cherche les éventuelles blessures ou soins a lui apporter, l’éléphant semble vraiment apprécier et n'est aucunement obligé de faire quoi que ce soit. quand il en a eu marre il s'est simplement relevé et a pris son propriétaire sur son dos d'un coups de trompe!

    What an amazing sight! A gigantic statue of Luang Phor Thuad-a famous Buddhist monk much revered by Thai Buddhists. The construction took several years and the surrounding area is still not finished. It really does take your breath away when you first see the statue. It’s impossible not to wonder at how it was constructed. Alongside is another, smaller statue representing, I believe, Chinese Buddhism. There are large areas of water and fish food can be bought to feed the always hungry fish! There is a cafe and several other food stalls on the site. Parking is no problem and toilets are situated by the large car park. The actual temple is quite small but beautifully decorated like so many Buddhist temples. The temple and its grounds are signposted from the main road leading to Donsak and the ferry terminals. Just follow the side road and it’s impossible to miss seeing the statue. Allow probably about an hour and longer if you buy food and a drink. Highly recommended. See more..

Vor der Küste liegt auch ein Riff zu dem man schnorcheln gehen kann. Wasser ist klar und Sand sehr fein. Man ist hier auch eher unter sich ein paar Leute sind schon da aber das hält sich in Grenzen.
