This is a serious attraction on Samui and people travel from far and wide to experience this thrilling ride over the spectacular jungle canopy below. It’s scary but totally safe. Everything looks so small down below from the high mountain retreat and you can see Lamai and its beautiful coastline in the distance. From the wooden terrace you can sit on comfortable chairs and relax over a coffee or drink to watch the colors of the sky and sea transform into warm lilacs and reds as the sun sets. At the beginning of the road on the way to the viewpoint you will find a kind of ‘fake’ mango viewpoint. The old lady sits at the entrance & its 20baht entry. I think she/her family have built this place for income as its a brilliant bit of Thai construction ha! Handmade hammocks & a bamboo platform held up by a tree trunk!! Its soo cool but honestly there is nothing fake about the view/setting Honestly it is just STUNNING!! I didnt see the point in going further up the road to pay 100bht for the ‘real’ tourist one !
