Driving 30 minutes from Lampang city, we arrived at the parking lot of the place. After walking downhill for further 300 metres and on the bamboo bridge across Mae-Chang river, we finally saw a picturesque landscape where the river flowing between the stunning parallel cliffs (called "Pha Hob") with greenish forest as a background. Then, we did a bamboo rafting (by pulling a rope ; 50 baht) to explore a heart-shaped cave and "Son Rak cliff”. In the return trip, we also soaked our feet into the (cool) river and enjoyed a light breeze passing through the cliffs. Such a nice, relaxing atmosphere. For ones travelling to Lampang, don't miss this place. See more..
  2. 5.0 Pha Gate Painting - Prehistoric Cliff Rock Paintings (1 review)

    Points of Interest & Landmarks
Pha Gate Painting - Prehistoric Cliff Rock Paintings image
There are 3 main attractions in this site. 1. Prehistoric paintings on the vertical rocky cliff dated back over 3000 years ago Take a stroll along an 800 metres convenient path watching prehistoric paintings on the cliff (hard to see and imagine, but there is a guideline on the board at each point) with forest and mountain view. Don't forget to apply sunscreen. 2. Chao Por Pratu Pha shrine Pay respect to the loyal warrior "Iron hand" who fought Burmese army to his death at this position (to make his king escaped) about 300 years ago (like in the movie 300 but in this case only one !). Legend has it that he used his bare hands at a shield (iron hand, that's why) and fought to his death with his upright body leaned against the cliff and his hand still held a sword. What a great guy. 3. Local market This is a little market where Yao people sell their products (especially herbs and spices). Worth a visit. See more..

When I was born and grow up, have so many question about the Electricity. Maemoh Mine Museum have all the answer about that. Outside the museum have a good environment. From there can see big mine area (Lignite). Green space that can play sliders with big paper or plastic sheet. Life museum show expired machine. Recommended time to come here when season change it’s mean temperature getting down. See more..
