This is one of my favorite beaches in all of Taiwan. It was spotlessly clean, which is unusual. Not a single piece of trash in sight. It is also totally undeveloped which is probably why it's so clean. The water depth tapers off slowly so it is suitable for all swimming levels, there aren't any waves or undertow, and the sand stretches wide and deep so there is space to enjoy it. This place is very close to my village. Since I was a kid, my father took me to here every summer vacation, we have many wonderful memory here. The beach consists of sand and coral and the road under the sea consists of basalt. When the tide falling, the road comes out and people can walk to the island which is opposite to the beach. The environment is very great, the water is so clean that there are many sea creature live in here, like crab, conch, starfish and small fish. At first, this place is not very famous there are few tourists, the beach is good to relax but I think it is too crowded now. See more..

Worth taking a look at the temple. But we went to the area for the rainbow bridge which is just in front of the temple. The bridge is illuminate with rainbow colours and the reflections at night just makes it more beautiful! It was a nice place to chill and sit down for a chat in the evening. You can also walk on the bridge though it is a little steep. As Penghu is still not loaded with large tourist groups, the place is still peaceful and enjoyable. We went during the opening day of the annual fireworks and it was fabulous! Fantastic 20 minutes fireworks display show. Very nice place to visit. See more..

Many people have been to Penghu, which is a popular place for people to have fun. Penghu has a lot of delicious seafood. My favorite spot is Jibei Island. It is located in the north of Penghu. We took a boat for about an hour to Jibei Island from penghu. There is a lot of sunshine, and the water is blue. There were coaches taking us to experience water activities such as banana boat, jet skis, and snorkeling which we can see beautiful corals . All of these activities impressed me a lot. Although the sunlight is strong which almost burns me, and there are no other attractions on the island,the sea of Danshui Jibei Island is really beautiful.My family and I had a great time there. Chi-xi-yan-pu, which means "The Waterfalls of Rock in Chixi Village" in Chinese. This is pretty majestical landscape of basalt! The basalt looks darker than Daguoye Xuanwuyan where is also in Xiyu Township, so it is different type, and it spreads much wider! You'd better come here in the ebb tide time, so that you can across the fish farm then walk it over and see the whole view of "The Waterfall of Rocks". In the early time, here was one Taiwanese Abalone Factory just built above those Rocks, when the factory drained off water, here was really like the waterfall of rocks! But this location is uneasy to be found. You need to arrive at Chixi Village first, where is at the north side of Chixi Port, keep going until the road without asphalt. For seeing here you have to step in the ground is full of rocks. Finally, you have to be very carefully, don't too close the wall of The Rock Waterfall because the rock will tumble down sometimes. My B&B owner recommended us to try it when we drop by Erkan village. Hot or cold, the almond tea simply taste superb! We had 2 cups at the shop and bought a bottle back to B&B. No preservatives so it needs to be finished up soon. It was nice to stroll in the small village too. See more..

Located in Xiyu township. There is a nice walking path where you can stroll slowly and enjoy the beautiful coastal. It take some effort to climb up the hill though. This attraction wouldn't mean anything for overseas visitors. Yu-Sheng is an accomplished singer then turned producer whose life was cut dramatically short after he died in a car accident due to alcohol. This memorial museum is located inside his old residence where his parents used to reside. The information here was rather insightful and well laid out, and none were done in English, which once again limited its appeal to overseas visitors. This is one of the oldest military village in the town & Taiwan. Few places are open for business & two famous but died singers’ memorial old houses provide some information about them. Fifteen units have been turned into housetel. Some places are colorful and good for photo taking. It is not bad to walk around. When you are here, you would hear a constant repeat of the song, Grandma's Penghu Bay. It's sung by a local celebrity, the deceased Pan Ang Pang. Here, you would get to understand the origin of the song and a great opportunity of tourists in particular to take pictures of them with the Grandma statue.
