If your looking for a beach where you and your family can swim safely; this is the best location. It’s called Maracayo Beach and is managed by the municipality of Hatillo. What you will enjoy most is that the waves are minimal thanks to a rocky barrier; it offers a safe swim for children and elderly. There is a restaurant (Marilyn’s) walking distance that offers platters at a reasonable price and refreshments. After Maria they built Kiosks with Picnic tables but you have to get there early to reserve one. There have vacational homes if you want to spend the weekend. Parking is $3.00 all day.
