  1. 5.0 Tres Picachos (2 reviews)
    - Intense hike, unobstructed views at the top! Not for beginners or unfit people
    Mountains
    Tres Picachos image
As reviewed on Google and AllTrails, this hike is difficult and for advanced hikers. It is 2.8 miles from the start of the trail to the top and then 2.8 miles back to the car. The incline is steady 45-60+ degrees with many parts requiring use of ropes that are installed there already. I am an active 35+ year old person and I found it to be intense. Going up needed to stop and rest multiple times. Not many places to sit and break, just put my foot on a high rock and doubled over to catch my breath haha. I have never fallen before and I fell multiple times on this hike. Conditioned for the island we’re great that day, mud to be expected in the tropics. The ropes were fun at first but then never seemed like they were going to end. The peak at the top was amazing and totally worth the trek. Coming back down was east on the cardio but was really dangerous if you didn’t pay attention and properly use the ropes. One slip and down the mountain without control over jagged rocks you go! Or without loosening your grip at the right time, you could easily get rope burn. Going up took us 2.5 hours and down 1.5 hours. I was so happy to do (and survive) this hike! Went home with bruises and scrapes galore. An adventurist’s delight! See more..

  17. 4.0 Aerostatic Balloon (20 reviews)
    - Breathtaking
Friday: 9:30 AM - 7:00 PM Balloon Rides
    Aerostatic Balloon image
I visited this place with my wife, kids and mother. The drive to this attraction was very fun. The curves the twists and turns and more over the valuable time spent with the family. Once there we paid the 3$ p/p to get to where the balloon was. You cant go up in your own car. Its a private bus that takesyou there. They have 2 levels. One with the restaurant and ice cream shop and the top level where the balloon is. We started at the top where although we did not get on the ride because of rain and low clouds the view from that platform is just breathtaking. It is a view of the island that u will not find any where else. After a few pics there we went down to the bottom floor where we took more pics and grabbed a bite to eat. Once we got the bus to come back down we visited the coffee museum. Quck , informative and very inexpensive. My suggestion is just do it. Its worth it. My advice go with the family. Have fun. Its time well spent. See more..

Friday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Observation Decks & Towers
Puerto Rico, Cerro Dona Juana. Because of it being the tallest Cerro in Orocovis, the Cuerpo Civil de Conservacion built during 1943 a tower in the top of the mountain. The actual reason for building the tower is still unknown. There are three different theories, some say the tower was built for military purposes. Others, that it was created so the forest keepers could look out for fires. Lastly, it is said that it was just to have a lookout at the top of Orocovis. No matter the reason, this tower is definitely a must see in Orocovis. You won't only be able to see Orocovis, you will be able to see the North and South of Puerto Rico, including cruise ships on the northeast bay area.Fresh air and a fresh view are what expects you at the top of Orocovis! 29. Toro Negro State Forest (0 review)
    Friday: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Forests
The Bosque Estatal de Toro Negro is a vast forest (located in Ponce, Jayuya, Orocovis, Juana Diaz and Ciales) with around 18 km of trails, a few beautiful ponds, rivers, and lakes. There's also an observation tower atop the Cerro Dona Juan, which is Orocovis' highest point, and which you can climb to experience one of the best views Puerto Rico has to offer. Moreover, the camping site in Barrio Ala de la Piedra is a great place to stay in Orocovis during the weekend. See more..
