   On our way to Gozalandia in San Sebastian, we stopped in the town's Plaza and were surprised to see the beautifully preserved home and Museo Historia San Sebastian. We were greeted by a lady dressed in clothing of the era; early 1900's and later given a tour by Ashley, whom was extremely knowledgeable and just a pleasure to be with. I would highly recommend it. You will see not only beautiful architecture, but also artifacts and even an original US flag with the 13 stars representing the colonies. So much history in this beautiful valley...And also please stop by the Hammock museum, where you will find a sample of the type of hammocks made by the native indians of Puerto Rico. A national treasure for sure is Tatiana Martinez Perez who now carries the tradition of making these hammocks. CAn't say enough about the people in San Sebastian! So helpful, hardworking, nice! They also have a moderately priced restaurant with good drinks for after the swim!, Our tour guide Abel was exceptional and attentive even my kids loved him and they don't like anyone.     My husband and I did the Spirits of Puerto Rico rum and food tasting tour in May 2009 with Debbie as our guide. We were joined by two ladies at Baru restaurant in Old San Juan, which just happened to be a short walk from our hotel. Normally we dislike tours - and although this is one tour where you're not actually going anywhere - we absolutely loved this one due to Debbie (THE BEST tour guide you could ask for) and the fantastic rum drinks and food we were served. Over the course of the night we had twelve different kinds of rum (by itself as well as served in the TASTIEST mixed drinks) and a variety of local foods. Everything was delicious. The tour is structured so that you have enough water, food, and time in between drinks that you never feel as though you're drinking too much or can't handle it!
