We stayed on the farm in their 2 two-bedroom Apartments. Was a Great experience, relaxed and very friendly, nice breakfasts and dinners with the host family, lots of donkeys and the chance to work with them, adorable dogs, fruits we could pluck and eat. Darko was a great host, showed us around, and the entire family was very welcoming. See more..

In terms of presentation, architecture and culture, the Ostrog Monastery is a must-visit. Access is limited by a narrow, winding and sometimes scary road with an increasing number of hairpin turns as you near. You may have to park a distance and walk the rest. Access to the monstery itself can be limited in the busy season. In October, during the pandemic, no one was there. The entire visit, at a casual pace, can take <30 minutes. Photography is not permitted. The architecture, tiling and painting are unique and beautiful. The "monastery agains the mountain" can look for magical. It reminded me of the Taktsang Monastery in Bhutan and Hozoviotissa on the Greek Isle of Amorgos. You should check it out See more..
