We booked a full day rafting tour on the Tara River. It was an amazing experience. Ilija is very skilful skipper and made a tour good fun. Half way through the tour the rest of the group left as they only booked half day and only me, my husband and Ilija continued the tour. It felt like we had the whole canyon for ourselves! A great day out and worth it! See more..

This is the most iconic of all the peaks of Durmitor. Even though it is only in 19th place on the list of tallest peaks, it stands out for its landscape, rising above the surface of the Black Lake. Only 3km away from the centre of Zabljak, Malo (Small) and Veliko (Big) Lakes merge into Crno (Black) Lake. This lake is specific for its dark blue shade of water, which often seems black, and the effect is created by the Lake's depth and the dense Durmitor pine forest surrounding it. See more..

In Savin Kuk there were only two ski lifts working (out of 4) in the end of March, other went really high and the other was more for practitioners. Snow was excellent for snowboard at least and we did awesome offpiste-routes. And it was cheap: 10€ for the ski lift and 10€ for the equipments. So we were really happy in the end of the day! - 4.5 Fortress Zabljak Crnojevica (2 reviews)
-Zabljak Crnojevica Fortress
Historic Sites • Ancient Ruins • Points of Interest & Landmarks
Zabljak Crnojevic is the Montenegrin capital where Montenegrin ruler Ivan Crnojevic lived. It was built in the period 913-1077. We came to it when we took the highway towards Bar in Podgorica. At 10 km you should turn left across the railway. Further on, it leads over a narrow bridge that bridges the Moraca River. Then left a narrow path through the settlement. There is also a signpost but one has to watch carefully. When we arrived, we started the slight climb. The internship leads through the settlement. Admission is free of charge. Zabljak Crnojevica is quite destroyed. The view from the fort to the whole area and Lake Skadar is extraordinary. There is an obelisk-memorial to the Montenegrin warriors who conquered the city in 1835 from the Turks. In the place we did not see that there is a restaurant or a bar where it can be refreshed or eaten. There is no souvenir shop either. Still, a great trip. It is worth visiting this part of Montenegrin history. See more..
