   This museum is split into two parts, a traditional walk round with a guide explaining all about the Second World War heroine (ensure you have translator) it contains many pictures and artifacts in a small setting, the outside of the building was being renovated and I'm not sure in the original look which was very nice. After a short wait the guide will open up the interactive room, this portrays the battle field with the sights and sounds of WWII and was very interesting to see, great effort overall for a small museum and well worth 30 minutes of your day.     We checked out the Regional History State Museum in Uralsk last week while in the city, it is a showcase of the regional history (Captain Obvious) but seemingly empty of people except some very helpful staff. There was a school group that came through about half way during our time in there but aside from them and a few stragglers here and there we essentially had it to ourselves. Certainly not complaining about that at all as we were able to take our time walking through the exhibits and reading all we could to learn more about the history from early days, through the revolution, world wars and through to today. Our understanding of Kazakh is still a bit rough but we managed to understand a fair amount more than we thought. Great set up, nice museum, friendly/patient staff and we would highly recommend that you visit if you get the chance. See more..

We got to the point that we had to wait 2 hours until the order was brought. one or two waiters for the whole restaurant, without explanation or apology, carry one order for 2 hours! The administrator was called but he never showed up. Sizes of teapots with one mug but not declared in any way 1000 ml. The portion sizes do not say what the minimum order weight is, i.e. information is hidden that unexpectedly when ordering you may be faced with the fact that when ordering 200 grams you will be told in 2 hours that at least 400 grams and the order cannot be cancelled. Have been here several times before since the opening, but this time negates all previous years for the worse.     Another small but good museum in Uralsk that we visited recently was the Nature and Ecology Museum. Only three rooms but some cool flora and fauna and former flora and fauna from the area including dinosaurs, mammoths and butterflies which are beautiful.
