- 5.0 Damavand Mountain (97 reviews)
-One of the great natural attraction in Iran
Mountains
One of the great natural attraction in Iran. The normal time to summit is almost mid July to late August. My suggestion is to just find a good weather opening of 3 days in this period and you will enjoy it. You may thinking about other times also but it needs suitable equipment and more perpetrations. There is several rout to summit but the normal one is the south rout which we took. We spend the first night in base camp( at 4200 meters of altitude). We start to summit at 8 A.M and we did it at 2 P.M. We get back to base came and spend another night there which was very lovely. I love the idea of giving it enough time because it is a unique experience and the everyday activity. I have to say that it is better to not go there on weekends because of the crowds( remember that weekends in Iran is at Thursday and Friday). At the end I should say that in order to enjoy it make sure you are prepared both mentally and physically. Have Fun See more..
- 5.0 Badab-e Surt (51 reviews)
-A stunning place to visit
Saturday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Geologic Formations
I heard about this place whilst surfing the internet and was determined to visit it when we travelled to Iran May this year (2015). It is easy to get to from Sari and there is a car park on a grass field next to the usual outdoor Iranian loo! You have to get the local transport of a pick-up truck up to the site, unless you are ultra-fit and determined to walk up the steep, uneven track to the top of the mountain. Amazing views all around and worth the effort of getting there. One bit of advice - take your own drinks and food, as very limited on what you can buy. And good walking boots! no cost to visit, but you will need to pay the driver if you use the truck service. See more..

-How to experience a totally different side of Iran
Multi-day Tours • Hiking & Camping Tours
We usually do multi-day hikes on our own and weren't sure if it was worth paying for a guided tour. In Iran, however, there are very few hiking trails and a pretty big language barrier in rural areas. So we gave Farzin a chance and have to say it was the best decision we could have made! Together with Farzin and Ali, we spent four days hiking through pristine mountains and green valleys. We had excellent food, lots of tea, and slept either in our tents or in private accommodations. Farzin has an extensive knowledge of the region and Iran in general and has shown us a beautiful side of Iran that probably only very few tourists experience. Thank you so much! We’ve already recommended you to our friends and families :-) See more..

- 5.0 Alam-Kuh (8 reviews)
-Amazing mountain
Saturday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent More than 3 hours Mountains
Alam Kuh is 4848 meters high above sea level. The best time to climb and hiking there is from mid July to mid August. It has to face the south face and the north face. The south face is for hiking and the north face is for the technical ascending and rock climbers. there is a 650 meters wall to climb there. You can sea a lot of Glacier with a lot of mountain lakes up there. Remember to bring a suitable equipment depending on what you are going to do because it is a serious climb. In order to get there you have to go to Sari province, Marzan Abad city, Kelardasht city, Roodbarak village and then Vandarbon village. There is a nice facility to rest and prepare for ascending in Vandarbon village that belongs to the Mountaineering and Sport Climbing Federation in Iran and every one can use there. we did have a night camp in the mountains but you can also do it for in one day. What I loved about this place was the beauty of the nature and I believe that you should give it enough time. See more..

- 5.0 Azad kuh (1 review)
-Azad Kuh (4350 m)
Saturday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent More than 3 hours Mountains
Azad Kuh is one of the highest peaks in the central Alburz Range in Mazandaran province north of Iran. In Persian Kuh means mountain and Azad means free, so Azad Kuh can be translated to The Free Mountain. This name is probably chosen by local people because of Azad Kuh's cone like shape and the fact that it is not connected to its surrounding peaks. Azad kuh is not a technical climb and you won't need any rock climbing gear (Carabiner, Rope ...) in summer. There are several routes for climbing this peak, the easier and shorter one is from Kalaak-e-Baalaa village and the longer one is from Vaarange Rud village. The former takes 1–2 days and the latter 2–3 days. There is no shelter in neither route and you need to carry your own tent if you are planning to camp. Azad Kuh is not such an easy climb in the winter as there is the potential danger of avalanche in either route. See more..

- 4.5 Ramsar Cable Car (98 reviews)
-A most do thing in Ramsar
Trams
It is almost 6 km away from Ramsar, to Chaboksar road. I highly recommend this activity to do if you are visiting Ramsar. What I like about it is that you have the view of the Caspian sea while your are going up in the Caspian Hyrcanian mixed forests, it is just mesmerizing. You can also spend some time up there in the Forest. There are also coffee shops and restaurants up there if you want something to eat. And do not forget your cameras See more..

- 4.5 DD Center (12 reviews)
-Excellent Job! Must visit
Spent 2-3 hours Art Galleries • Art Museums
An example of a great Art Gallery. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. even if you are not interested in art, it's a nice place to dine in or walk around for spending good time with friends or family. There are paintings, pictures, statues and many more artistic stuff at this place. to visit the museum gallery you need to pay 100,000 rials (2.5$) but it totally worth it. Try to eat something at the restaurant on the top floor, it has an amazing view. prices are acceptable and staffs are very friendly. I love this place. keep up the good job! See more..
- 4.5 Markooh Castle (7 reviews)
-The view from the top is spectacular
Historic Sites • Points of Interest & Landmarks • Castles
Castle Markooh or Ghaleh Markooh in Persian is just out side Ramsar. From ramsar you can get to it through Katalum road. it is sign posted. as you get near, you can see a telecomunication arial on the top. the road to it is up hill and at parts dirt road which has been washed away so you need to drive carefully. from the car park it is about couple hundred steps and you reach the top. in a good day the view is great and good photo shoot place. when you get there there is a local guy who is always there and will offer you lovely warm tea. he is very knowledgeable on the local area and very helpful. if you like the nature, historic sites and beautiful scenery then visit this place. - 4.5 Miankaleh Lagoon (7 reviews)
-unspoiled nature
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Bodies of Water
If you travel to the northeast of Tehran and go to Bandar Gaz or Bandar Torkaman you can take a speedboat trip to Miankaleh lake and Ashuradeh Island, the only island (or rather peninsula tip land) still belonging to Iran in the Caspian sea. The area is a paradise for millions of birds during their migrating season and is best if visited in October and November. The peninsula and island are 15 minutes away and across from the harbor and you can disembark there and walk around. Many raspberry bushes and shrubs along with wildlife are on the island and there are almost no permanent residents there, only a shoreside restaurant open until 6pm. The area is beautiful and definitely worth visiting. A boat trip there with a guide costs around 30 dollars. See more..
- 4.5 Ab Pari Waterfall (5 reviews)
-Unique
Spent 2-3 hours Waterfalls
In an overall look the nature of Ab Pari area and jungle is unique; however the waterfall is not so much full of water like before. You can enjoy the nature more by moving toward upper parts like Kodir or Do Ab. The only thing that really is painful is the dust and trash left by people in nature. See more..

-fantastic place for resting and enjoy nature
Spent 2-3 hours Bodies of Water
Valasht is a sweetwater lake and ofcourse a fantastic place for resting and enjoy nature, . the water is clear and you can see fish and frog babies obviously. in some months of year you can go boat driving. there are 2 way to this lake; one from Chaloos road( Marzan abad) and one from Kelardasht. try not to go from second one, because the road is full of stone and soil, and this way may make you uncomfortable.
