We have been visiting this with our clients from Italy in Oct 2019 and very enjoyed the atmosphere and patterns on old bricks. As this is known as the oldest mosque of Iran, we supposed to see something fancy but it's decoration is very simple and very much liked it. See more..

    Qale Bala image
I stayed 4 days in Qale Bala in April and discovered a lot about Iranian traditional culture ! The houses in the village are all made from ancient technique and some women are making really beautiful handcraft (some hand towels called Taneh and some colorful sewed napkins). The village is build on the side of a mountain so the view on the area is really beautiful. Many people come here to discover the Turgan natural Parc and its wildlife (famous for the Iranian ground Jay and the Cheetahs) or simply to relax. I stayed in a lovely guesthouse called Touran Gasht Guesthouse in the old part of the village and enjoyed great food and nice company! I would definitely recommend the place to all nature and wildlife lovers. (There is also a daily bus that is coming directly from Shahrood - a city nearby) See more..

    Bayazid Bastami Tomb image
Beautiful and soulful old place in a small town. A very spiritual place where Bayazid Bastami, a great Iranian Sufi Known to future Sufis as Sultān-ul-Ārifīn ("King of the Gnostics"), is buried. I suggest reading about Bayazid before attending the place. Built in 9th century but some parts are from 13th century and still stand strong. There's a mosque inside which is still used for daily prayers. Wonderful Persian architecture will capture your heart. A must-visit site in my humble opinion. See more..
  10. 4.0 Kashaneh Tower (1 review)
    - Weight of history, unique and strange
    Architectural Buildings
    Kashaneh Tower image
Some historians ascribe this unique tower to pre-Islamic Era, which is not proved and not rejected. Elements of Saljoghian Turkish architecture are obvious however. One side of the tower is joined to the Jame musque of Bastam city it is not clear that the musque is build after the tower or not, but it seems that the tower has been an independent building. Its beautiful, mysterious as the weight of history dictates and unique. See more..
