- 5.0 Khalid Nabi Cemetery (12 reviews)
-Something Totally Different
Spent 1-2 hours Points of Interest & Landmarks • Cemeteries
Khaled Nabi Ancient Cemetery is something totally different in Iran and maybe the world. There are many stones in the shape of man and woman genitals which are believed to be tomb stones. They are separated on several hills and one of the stones has the symbols of the two genders. Beside the historical value, this place has a wonder view especially during spring. Green is all you can see till infinity See more..
- 5.0 Golestan National Park (10 reviews)
-Wonderful stay at Turkmen Ecolodge. and Golestan National park.
National Parks
We had a lovely stay at Turkmen Ecolodge. The lodge is traditional, in a very nice rural setting in a small village outside the park. The food was wonderful. The owners/managers, Kamran, Forough and their staff are great, very knowledgeable, and they made the stay really great. A very good concept, to develop a lodge with the community and staff from the National Park, and at the same time to develop an education center for the children of the area. Kamran did a game drive with us in the park, with hikes in some parts. He is a very knowledgeable guide, showed us tracks of bears, leopards and wolves, but we saw also Gazelle, Wild sheep, a Cobra, many bird species etcetera. A beautiful, very varied park, from forest to steppe landscapes in a very short distance. We definitely hope to come back one day! See more..
