   I spent several hours hanging on Lamaru Beach. The sand was very soft, the ocean water was too cold for me but still nice and refreshing, and there was plenty of space to relax among numerous friendly people on the beach. There are lots of stores, restaurants, and other attractions there as well. Parking is hit or miss, but we found something pretty quickly .    We came to Kemala beach on weekdays. Not many people there. So we can enjoy the beach freely. This beach was located right in the middle of Balikpapan centre. It was a clean enough beach. With very cheap entrance fee. We came in with a car, 2 adults & 3 kids, and we only paid IDR6000. Too bad, the washing facilities was awfull. Dirty and dont have many rooms provided. We sat on benches under the palm trees and were (forced) given a food menu from a restaurant. To make everyone happy we decided to order some coconuts. And it costs IDR23500 for each coconut. What!!    A day after we were in Banjarmasin, my German friends sent us photo's from orang oetan and told us to go to the bush with a boat for 4 days long to reach the place where the animals leaves. Until our surprising, we found the ugly nose monkey statue, almost real one, located in the city of Banjarmasin. We safe the 4 days trip with the boat along the Mahakam river and made nice pictures.    For persons who wants to see something different, you may come to this place. At this place you may see crocodiles that we know live in wild become in natural cage. You can feed them with dead chicken, as the keeper and you have to pay 10 thousands rupiah each. Throw the chicken and all the crocodiles that you might think they are sleeping, you will know you are so wrongg.. hahaha.. The crocodiles will move just so fast to eat that chicken! rrrr.. creepy.. hehee..    I visited this watch tower on Sunday morning at about 10 am. This watch tower is really quite a good building although not so high, but it unfortunately seems like lonely. It seems that the visitors are only young couples that spend their times there. From the 4th floor, we can see beautiful view of Martapura River below. I heard that earlier in the morning there are some women on boats on the river selling vegetables, fruits etc that also known as "floating market" like in Lok Baintan, the one I made review before. I think the local government should make some promotions, so this place can be more famous and gets a lot of visitors. See more..

    I visited this beach on January 27, 2020. This beach is still quite good and memorable. But some of the statues on the beach seemed to have been demolished. At the lodge adjacent to the beach, you can watch musical performances. I came there when it coincided with Chinese New Year. Just for information, you need to pay about Rp 60000 for entering the beach. You can enjoy 4 places using the ticket especially for entering Bajau beach, Rindu Alam Park, Sinka Zoo and Water Park.     I live in tangkiling when i in elementry school, Tangkiling 32km from Palangka raya, and Banama rock is midle of Tangkiling hil (had another hill call Batu Tabala hill, Buhis hill, Karmel Hill etc.) Local people belive, Banama rock is tobe cos curse of god when Kiling meried with his mom (Bawi Kuwu).
