Good place to learn history
The Mandor Tragedy is a dark event that ever occurred in West Kalimantan, this incident occurred in the District of Mandor Landak District, West Kalimantan. According to available data, the number of casualties of the Mandor's incident is more than 21,037 people, but Japan rejects it and considers only 1,000 casualties. The tragedy of the foreman was due to the Japanese invaders' displeasure with the rebels. Because then Japan wants to control all the wealth that is on Earth West Kalimantan. Fighters come from local feudal, intelligent, ambient, politicians, public figures, religious leaders, to the common people, from various ethnic, ethnic or religious.

Remote but interesting
Three hours each way by bus from Pontianak so only one for the World War II buffs but I’m glad I made the journey. Moving depictions of the Japanese occupation. It was deserted and locked up when I arrived but it was easy to open the gate and get inside.
