True and funny

A day after we were in Banjarmasin, my German friends sent us photo's from orang oetan and told us to go to the bush with a boat for 4 days long to reach the place where the animals leaves. Until our surprising, we found the ugly nose monkey statue, almost real one, located in the city of Banjarmasin. We safe the 4 days trip with the boat along the Mahakam river and made nice pictures.

    "Merlion" of Banjarmasin?
    Yes, idea of Bekantan statue, maybe copy like merlion in Singapore. Nice idea, coz at evening more people come to this area, just only seight seing. If by boat joint with other, cost 10-20k/pax. If charter 200-300k.

    Bekantan Statue, Animal Statue from Kalimantan
    Proboscis (Bekantan) statue is one of the tourist attractions in Banjarmasin . Proboscis (Bekantan) statue is a symbol of the typical animals of Borneo . The Statue size is very large and located on the banks of the river and the main road of barito . Not many many attractions offered at this attraction , but the region is often held exhibitions or events held by local municipalities .
