I spend very amazing time with my friend in oasis we enjoyed the sand dunes, white and black desert with different rocks shape and camping in desert start first in el kharga oasis which famous of sand dunes and hot springs then going to black and white desert then and camping in white desert it's a amazing to see desert look like snow then going to Baharia oasis and enjoy with hot and cold spring , green gardens and salt lake then going to Cairo to see the pyramids and sphinx really it was amazing week See more..

The museum is open in the mornings, non-Egyptian tickets are LE60, photos with mobiles and no flash are permitted. The museum has a dated but wide-ranging display of material, predominantly from the Oases themselves. Highlights include some 6th Dynasty material from governors' tombs near Balat (Dakhla) (including stealae and an inscribed headrest) and a lot of Graeco-Roman material such as sphinxes from Deir el-Hagar. There is also a second floor with generally later material up to the 19th Century AD. I would recommend a visit as a good orientation and also to see some of the material culture that complements archaeological sites you may visit on a trip to the area. See more..

Si trova a pochi kilometri da El Qasr ed è davvero affascinante perché testimonia fin dove si siano avventurati i Romani lasciando i loro segni inconfondibili.
Il luogo è ben tenuto ed i rilievi parietali sono di ottima qualità, è completamente isolato ed il paesaggio desertico contrasta con il verde dei campi dell'oasi e lo rende molto particolare.
Il Tempio è dedicato al Dio Amon e dopo il Pilone si trova una sala ipostila ed il Sancta Santorum al fondo. See more..

Hundreds of mud-brick tombs of early Christians sit atop an earlier Egyptian necropolis. Well-preserved, It's among the very earliest Christian cemeteries anywhere. I'm a cultural anthropologist so was very interested in the interplay between Egyptian themes and Christian themes in the many colorful murals. The Chapel of the Exodus has great images of Moses and the journey out of Egypt. This is a great site for just wandering. When we were there in April, 2011, a very personable and knowledgeable young man popped up to show us around and guided us to some wonderful paintings. See more..

'My art is what I wish for my oasis. I can do nothing about the concrete and government policy, but here in my fantasy I can preserve oasis life'. Badr paints and sculpts - fantastic characterisations of real people, and gains inspiration from the desert around him - the colours, the wood, the rocks and the sand. His art is raw and genuine and it was extraordinary to meet a man with so much passion - for life and his oasis. There is no entry fee but a donation is requested - this entitles each visitor to a brochure and three postcards. There are a couple of cafes next door the museum. See more..
