-Not the full 5 star experience it claims to be.
Multi-day Tours • 4WD, ATV & Off-Road Tours • Safaris • Private Tours • Day Trips
The tour guide, Mustafa Darwish, who accompanied us on our journey to the various locations in Egypt was experienced and well informed. He elaborated quite decently through the sites and ensured our safety. The main issue for us was the condition of the cabin on the Nile cruise, Kontiki, the service there was great, however the infrastructure was run down and old, the toilet bath wasn't working well and the electrical sockets were looking quite suspicious. The food provided was same same but different. Overall not the 5 star experience it claims to be, there are definitely much more improvements needed for me to consider it as 5 star. For guests in the future, I think it is important to run through your itinerary thoroughly before the trip, question the tour managers about what is and what is not included and all other queries, ensure you get a definite answer. (This is mainly due to upselling. For example, horse rides, tickets to the temples like Abu Simbel, and the extra costs of travelling to the Nubian village.) See more..

-Unforgettable time
Friday: 6:00 AM - 1:00 AM Multi-day Tours • Historical & Heritage Tours • Sightseeing Tours • Private Tours • Day Trips
We chose Egypt for our honeymoon and we couldn’t pick a better place. Nour Nagy & George were our guide and Driver, they were great! Nour was amazing and took great pictures of us!! Our day was amazing, the only downfall was the camel ride. Even though it was great, the camel guide was very pushy about his tip. When we went to give him a tip he didn’t not like the amount and kept asking for more which made us very uncomfortable. The guide should’ve been aware of the amount they are at least expecting and for the amount the camel guide wanted you could pay for your guide to ride with you. But overall very amazing experience! -Amazing 10 night trip to Egypt
Friday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM City Tours • Cultural Tours • Historical & Heritage Tours • Private Tours • Archaeology Tours
I booked a 10 night trip to Egypt with Emo Tours - 2 days in Cairo, 2 days in Aswan, a 3 night cruise to Luxor, then 2 more days in Cairo (including a day trip to Alexandria). Mido at the booking office patiently handled all my requests to fine tune the itinerary and was also available during the trip to promptly answer my questions and confirm pick up times - he also booked my Covid test at my hotel. My private tour guides and drivers all provided great service. The tour guides were all extremely informative, starting with Ehab Hoba in Cairo, who also took many great photos of me at the Pyramids and other places. My guides were excellent as well in Aswan, Luxor, and on the cruise. The cruise line was Amwaj and all was top notch. The sunrise balloon ride over Luxor is highly recommended. Overall, it was an amazing trip and all the staff at Emo Tours really made it a great experience. See more..
- 5.0 Egypt Tours Portal (3.736 reviews)
-3 Days in Cairo
4WD, ATV & Off-Road Tours • Private Tours
Our tour to Egypt started with searching for tour operators. Although contacted few operators to compare prices none gave a good itinerary or prompt reply for doubts, ETP were prompt in both, so narrowed it down to Egypt tour portal(ETP). Recommendations from my sister who had used them for her trip 3 yrs back and reviews in trip advisor also helped. The decision proved to be perfect. Everything was smooth according to our tailor-made itinerary from picking us up from the airport to dropping us back at the airport.(we had booked tickets and room of our own as had other work during the trip). We were taken care of by our courteous and well-informed guide Mr Ayman Gabry, who was fluent in English and has exceptional knowledge of Egyptology. He was attentive, savvy, and thoughtful. Helped us all the time, with translations, negotiations and things to see/do. The vehicles used were clean and comfortable. In short, it was a great trip to remember with ETP and Ayman.Highly recommended See more..
- 5.0 Egypt Tailor Made Day Tours (3.339 reviews)
-Best custom private tour ever
Friday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 AM City Tours • Cultural Tours • Night Tours
Egpyt Tailor Made Tours was one of the best organizations we have ever taken a tour with. Walid provided an immediate response to our request for a custom, private 2 day tour of Cairo for 5 people with a proposed itinerary and cost. The tour included the Pyramids/Sphinx, Egyptian Museum, Khan el Khalili Bazar, Islamic Cairo, Coptic Cairo, Cave Church and Al Azhar park. Heba gave us one of the best tours ever. She was very enthusiastic about sharing her incredible knowledge of the city and its history, entertaining and funny, very accommodating of all requests and patient with all our questions. But it was more than just a tour. It was a great educational experience about the history of many amazing places, the various religions and life in Egypt. See more..

It was truly magical night at the desert- highly recommend! See more..
- 5.0 Private Driver/Guide in Cairo - Farag Radwan (101 reviews)
-Best driver in Cairo
Safaris • Taxis & Shuttles • Coffee & Tea Tours • Private Tours • Food Tours • Horseback Riding Tours
Farag is the best driver in Cairo hands down ! Was not used to the driving system out here and he is well knowledgeable with the roads so I felt safe with him the whole trip. Farag is very funny and brings every environment he is in to life. He constantly makes sure you are comfortable in the ride and has the best recommendations for local stays, food, and any other extra activities you didn't think of for original itinerary. Such a blessed and great soul to be around, I couldn't imagine any other driver. Will def recommend Farag to my family and friends that are planning to come too Egypt in a couple months and I look forward to booking Farag again when I come back personally. Thank you Farag for making this trip so much better with your humor and generosity. Wishing you all the best and can't wait to come in contact with you again. See more..

-Zenab is a Star
Historical & Heritage Tours • Private Tours
Zenab was super friendly from the start she greeted me and gave me helpful tips about avoiding scams before we started our tour. Throughout the day she showed me markets and vendors that I could actually trust and weren't pressuring me into buying anything. They where all very professional and told me you have no obligation to buy and where completely OK when I didn't buy anything. She made sure we got to the pyramids early before anyone else did so I got some amazing solo shots. She let it be my day and I got to choose what I wanted to see. The lunch she took me to was amazing and the views where incredible. She walked with me through the museum and explained everything and you can tell she was very knowledgeable. I definitely recommend her and her team if you guys need to see all the main sites of Cairo in a day. Thanks for the amazing time! See more..

-More like a knowledgeable Friend.
Private Tours • Day Trips
Abdul is perhaps one of the kindest and most knowledgeable tour guide friend a tourist can ask for. Not only did he recommend different adventures he also did his best to accommodate us with whatever we decided to do no matter how mundane. Abdul was flexible and consistently made us the priority. He was very realistic and gave the best advice on how to navigate through Cairo when we were without him. Easy to talk to and very protective, Abdul is a godsend. I'm thankful my family and I were able to to have made his acquaintance. Until next time, thank you my friend Abdul. See more..

-Fabulous Guide
Friday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM City Tours • Multi-day Tours • Cultural Tours • Historical & Heritage Tours • Private Tours
As a woman traveling alone, I was nervous of touring the historical sites of Cairo without a guide. An Egyptian friend arranged a personal tour guide for me via Egy Smart Travel. I could not have wished for a better guide than Ahmed, he was professional, polite, very knowledgeable about the sites we visited and - priceless if you are a solo tourist - happy to take photos of me at the many sights we visited. I cannot recommend him highly enough. See more..

- 4.5 Al-Azhar Park (944 reviews)
-A refreshing place in chaotic Cairo
Parks
It’s a very nice park. A refreshing place to go to and have relaxing and quiet couple hours or so in a chaotic Cairo. As the city is lacking parks and green spaces, this park is almost the only place you can go to. It’s not free though. The entrance fee is 15-20 EGP. The good thing is it’s the same fee as locals, not like other touristy places where the tourists pay the highest fee comparing to the locals. While you’re there, you might see the newly wed couples taking pictures, which is pretty cool. See more..

- 4.5 City Stars Mall (470 reviews)
-Standard western mall
Friday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 AM Shopping Malls
We were hot and needed a place to cool down and the mall was close by. The City Stars Mall is one you would see almost anywhere in the world with most of the same brands. We found that there is a food court on every level and some places had two locations such as Starbucks. There are many western-based brands here as well as some Egyptian ones. I found the prices on the western branded items to be much higher than the states, but that was to be expected. I would just recommend coming here to cool down and maybe grab a bit to eat. The one special thing to note is that they do have an indoor ski area at the top of the mall like Dubai, but not as big. See more..
- 4.5 Mosque and Madrasa of Sultan Hassan (450 reviews)
-One of the most impressive historic monuments in Cairo
Historic Sites • Religious Sites
The Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Hassan is a monumental mosque and madrassa Cairo, Egypt was built between 1356 and 1363 during the Bahri Mamluk period, commissioned by Sultan an-Nasir Hasan. The mosque was considered remarkable for its massive size and innovative architectural components, and is still considered one of the most impressive historic monuments in Cairo today. This mosque is stunning and impressive from outside and inside. The mosque occupies almost 8000 square meters and the building is about 500 meters long, 68 meters wide, and 36 meters high. The massive main doorway at the north corner is almost 26 meters high and the minaret at the south corner is the tallest in Cairo at 81.5 meters. The mosque is an active place of worship. At the time of visiting the mosque women need to cover their heads; arms and legs and all visitors will need to leave their shoes prior to entering the mosque. See more..
- 4.5 Cairo Festival City Mall (435 reviews)
-Wonderful visit
Friday: 10:00 AM - 12:00 AM Shopping Malls
The Cairo Festival City Market is a wonderful place. Many wonderfully made local items for sell at easily reduced prices. Many items are being sold by the creators. Special orders can be placed but I recommend paying no more than a third down on special orders. If you have been able to agree on a very low price for the custom piece consider paying half down in order to cheer up the creator. Many items I bought there were able to be shipped home from the market without me having to bother with transporting them back to the apartment. See more..

- 4.5 Cave Church (351 reviews)
-Best attraction in Cairo
Churches & Cathedrals
We loved this place. It is off most tour paths because access is through garbage city and buses could not navigate those roads. We visited on Sunday when service was still in progress. Some of the people shared bread with us afterwards and everyone was super friendly. This place is huge and has some spectacular carvings on surrounding rocks. Must see place when visiting Cairo. If we had to choose one attraction we would choose this one over pyramids. See more..
