the lake is in a beautiful forest - but access is now denied - there is a metal gate and a guard who will turn you away. No reason is given. Its a depressing trend that areas of natural beauty are fenced in, equipped with minimal tourist infrastructure then closed so nobody can enjoy. The guard was happy to let me scramble up the steep mountainside to get a glimpse of the lake, with no maps and bear territory this is probably not a great idea though See more..
