   - Amazing, ancient, and quiet.

   I climbed up to the Cave of the White Dragon this morning, takes a big fat guy about 20 minutes but well shaded with many places to rest. At the Cave there were shrines to Buddha and other ancient deities. I was most amazed by the ancient monk quarters where you can just walk into and look around, Imagine an untouched 1000 + year old site still intact and you can just walk right in. The main cavern was closed and I have no idea when it opens, but the view and scenery of the place makes it a definite place to visit when in Yizhou. When I went at 10 AM, there was nobody else around, which is nice for loud, bustling China. There are other shrines and temples in the Huxian park worth seeing as well. See more..

   Excellent place to cool off in the hot summer. I liked swimming upstream with the current and drifting back downstream for a great workout. Plenty of refreshments, nice people, locker rental. If you don't know the bus that will take you, hail a cab, pay the 30Kwai (pay no more than this), then take the yellow bus with no number back to Yizhou for 3 kwai. The bus will wait by the road for passengers, you cant miss it. See more..

   Small museum and village, scenic spots, bridges and a nice restaurant overlooking the river. What a nice, sweet but oh so tragic story. We saw only domestic tourists, you need a translator if you want to come here from other parts of the world. Kind people. See more..

   Nice trip but there was a misunderstanding with the boatmen. We all agreed on 30 kwai for me and another 30 for my friend. The boat took us 20 minutes upriver then demand 300 kwai each. I had a Chinese friend tell them that I am not a rich tourist and managed to get the price down to 120 kwai total. I say, go on the trip only if you speak Chinese or bring a Chinese friend.
