   This is a very nice little mountain. It takes 1,5 hour (max 2 hours) to get to the top. Half a way there is a taoist temple you can visit. On the top you can see a small version of the Chinese wall. And you have an amazing view and also a little shop where you can buy some drinks.    Yaoxi is a very nice area with fresh air, nice trails, and clean water. There is an excellent waterfall (20 minute hike from start) with a pagoda nearby good for camping under. The waterfall's pool is good for swimming and has parts that are quite deep for diving. There are also many trails to get some exercise and enjoy the views. It's part of the DaLouShan trail network, so you can continue your hike if you want to the top of DaLou Mountain. Take the No. 6 bus to the end, followed by a 5rmb/pp minibus ride to the trailhead if you want to get there for cheap. Otherwise, taxi shouldn't cost more than 80 rmb from the city. There are also many restaurants at the beginning of the trail if you want to grab a bite to eat before heading up. Will definitely be going here again! See more..

   Although this museum was not listed on Tripadvisor, Lonely Planet or Wikitravel, I found it on Google Maps and decided to check it out. The building was constructed in 2003 and is impressive in itself, especially the interior under the dome. There are several exhibition halls, one of which gives a good introduction to the history of Wenzhou. Another is devoted to the arts and crafts practiced in Wenzhou. Smaller exhibition halls are devoted to other forms of arts and cultural practice in the Wenzhou area. When I visited there was a special exhibition on a local Wenzhou painter, Xie Zhenou, who for the past 25 years has created paintings inspired by the Silk Road. A great find! Except for the special exhibition, there was lots of information posted in English, so the international traveler would learn a great deal from this museum as well. See more..

   A few friends and I biked here from Wenzhou (return trip is 120km) and really enjoyed it. The views are great and it's not too crowded. We stayed at a guest house in a small village near the end of the scenic area in the mountains. There are many of these types of places, where you can get a home cooked meal and a room for cheap. Next time I visit Zeya, I plan to bike the other side of the looped road and do the white water rafting. See more..

    I went here with my girlfriend at night and it was a relaxing spot that made for a good date night. The island wasn't very busy which was a bonus. Basically, there are 3 sections to the island....a park/pond area, an amusement park (each ride charges individually, around 20/25 rmb each), and a water park (150 rmb entrance fee). There are also some restaurants and a hotel at the end. An easy way to access the island is to take the ferry located on JiangBin Road, which is included in the 25 rmb entrance fee.     Really enjoyed the views from the pagoda, although this old Chinese man was less sweaty than me once I reached the top. Also really liked watching people swim, but wouldn't do it myself for fear of attracting ebola or some exotic flesh eating bacteria.     Conveniently situated in the heart of town where most business people visiting Yueqing will not even bother visiting. If you are looking to buy things at low price then you are looking at the wrong place, this shopping mall is rather expensive and with few famous brands to offer. On the ground floor one can find cosmetics, starbucks and KFC. However, outside the mall, the main street has to offer a variety of local food stores and clothing brands. As of early 2014, Anchor tenants include Walmart, McDonalds, Pizza Hut and Papa Johns Pizza , Watson's Drugstore, Ajisen's Ramen Noodle as well as other Chinese franchises. There is a Far Eastern Sports Club, bowling alley, archery range in the underground portion of the plaza. All the major outdoor festivals happen in the open area.     My wife and I love animals and if we are visiting a city and the city has a zoo. It is a must visit for us. We had read some reviews that the zoo is not that great but we were quite satisfied with what we saw. Lions, tigers, leopards, bears, camels, zebras, giraffes, different types of monkeys, pandas, elephants, hippo, ostrich, kangaroos, reptiles and birds. It took us about 3-4 hours to go around. It is atop hill but we did not hike. We took a cab up and then back to the city. Be ready to walk up and down to go through the whole park. Overall we as a young couple were satisfied.     I think the best way to feel the island is to have a road trip around is and stop anywhere, where is safe, and view the scenic beauty, feel the fresh&salty wind, and take pictures. They do not have many coffee shop here, but they have many comfortable teahouses. You can enjoy tea and snack during chatting with your friends. The life is slow here. Although the sand on beaches are not white and bright, which is dark yellow I guess, they are soft and comfy to have a walk. The sand also makes coastal water "unclear" but it is clean blue and green during "peace and calm" weather lol. Off coastal water are completely clean especially during good weather days. .......     There are two main entrances to this park. The northern entrance is on the corner of Jiang Bin Xi Road （姜滨西路） and Huai Cheng Dong Road (坏城东路。 The southern entrance is across the road from the northern exit of Zhong Shan Park. Therefore there is an almost continues green beltway from city center (Zhong Shan Park) to the northern part of the city. This was just renovated in mid 2013 with new public washrooms and a quasi public rest area. During the summer, they serve free cool drinks and in the winter, warm tea for anybody that wants it. This is an area that is predominately filled from early in the morning to late afternoon with seniors hanging around and gambling. On the southern part of the park, there is a flea market that congregates at 5 am to about 9 am. You can purchase just about anything early in the morning. There are steps going up to the top of the "mountain". There you have a reasonable view of the city. This is not a must see in Wenzhou but on a sunny day, a good way to kill an afternoon relaxing.
