   The guangxi museum of nationalities is a wonderful place, with exhibits spread out over several levels. The highlights were the reconstructed models of traditional houses as used by the various minority groups. To make the most of your visit, you should allow for at least 2-3 hours. The museum is a little ways out from the city centre, so most likely you'll need to take a taxi, but the free entry makes up for it. See more..

   Told by an elderly man to take children to this place. We speak little Chinese but so glad we followed his advice. Stared walking along tracks with the people ... Like jumping into a 'river of energy' ...just had to walk with them. Peaceful, well kept, clean toilets and so much to see....    DeTian Waterfall is about 5 hours outside of Nanning Downtown. Recommended to leave early morning for a fruitful visit. Upon arriving at this Natural Waterfall, we were impressed by the size of this Waterfalls (more than 10 falls) within the park. There is an International tournament 18-hole golf course out near the hot spring valley. The spring temperature is great, with well-maintained facilities and good services. But food is expensive. It feels particularly good for a walk after spring spa, the surrounding scenery is undeniably a feast for the eyes, you can totally reinvigorated by breathing the fresh air and enjoying the distant view of the golf course.     This shopping center is among shopping area of Nanning, they have retail items and also wholesale items. Because there're many people around so you need to keep your valuable stuffs and maney cảefully. Should use Madarin or....notebook with a pen or caculating palm to show the number for the seller. But if you buy international branch- items there, it's so more expensive than Bangkok, Hongkong or Singapore. And should try street foods ảround the mall too :) very cheap and delicious!     The statue is pretty impressive, but the fountain only gets turned on during festivals and for visiting diplomats. Otherwise, this is a pretty plain plaza with no real attractions. There's a Starbucks or a McDonald's cafe nearby where you can buy some coffee, and in the evening there's usually some terrible singing.     Museum tickets (up to 5000 pieces) are given out free daily with a valid ID or passport shown. Security check at the entrance scanning through visitors & belongings. Visitors are required to drink a sip of their beverage before allowed to enter. Ticket & passport checking was done at least twice. The museum has 4 floors, with a different theme at each. Exhibits at the child zone were also interesting, guess we were still child-like afterall. They were sections about biology, physics, mathematics & technology. Some exhibits needed some repair & maintenance though. The 4D cinema can be one of its major attraction if maintenance was done. Overall, it's an interesting museum to spent half a day considering no ticket fee was charged. Do note that all museum in Nanning close on Mondays. See more..

    Lots of mid-sized shops in this area. Mostly selling clothes etc. but they also have a huge Xinhua bookstore on there. It's probably 5 stories tall and has something for western customers too.     Been there last week, it was amazing to see all this ancient buildings. There is hardly any commercial activities in the town, so that's what makes this place worth to travel. People there are very kind if you talk to them, they even invited me to watch TV with them on the street. And you can notice there are so many chickens and cows on the street, they are as free as human being there. There are not many visitors in the town, but Yangmei ancient town is full of history and spirit. Highly recommend to visit. See more..
