   The Tropic of Cancer runs through a park on the outskirts of Mojiang 墨江。 On certain days of the year, statues here don't cast a shadow. Climbing the (many) stairs of the park to the top provides an excellent view of the town and surrounding hills. There's a planetarium which is open at night. Entry to the park is 30 Yuan. Mojiang has a second distinction: It has more twins per capita than any other city in China. Some people believe it's the water, others just shrug their hands. Once a year (in May) they hold a big celebration in honor of twins. Because of the yearly twins festival, the town has lots of lodging options. Getting to Mojiang requires a bus ride of about four hours from the far south of Kunming. If you go, you should probably spend the night. It's also a great place to experience Hani minority culture. 哈尼族。You can eat lots of dishes made of bamboo shoots 竹笋 and wild mountain plants, including wild mushrooms. See more..
