I love this place. My father and the owner are good friends, but this experience is not based on that. My father didn't have any relationship with this temple either. I come here every year and I am still amazed. Up there the summer breeze feels fantastic and the view is gorgeous at night. One year I came for New Years and it was super fun with fireworks, friends and family. I recommend going there if you are ever going to Mangshi! See more..

Went there after the despair that the border 'attractions' delivered, pleasantly surprized, lot of magnificent tropical trees in a valley ending up in a nice waterfall. For those with a botanical edge there is a lot to see beyond the planted alley. Huge liana, ferns, mosses, giant trees, and lot of orchids in the trees. Basically a very rich natural environment nicely converted for tourisms, allowing an easy path into the natural local forest. Also includes a Budhist small temple at the beginning of the path. Main issue is taxi cost to go there, as they refuse to use meter and want exorbitant price for travel, but that's true for all Ruili unfortunately. Entrance 50 RMB/per. See more..

Such an amazing tree - one tree that looks a bit like a very strange forest. There is a parking just beside and the entrance fee is low - 15RMB / adult. The tree is very old - they’re not sure but older than 500 at least. See more..

although there isn't much to do in Ruili, i still thought Wanding Bridge was interesting and worthy of visit for someone who's never been to the China-Myanmar border. because i live in a city in southeastern China, i have only seen Chinese border patrol soldiers, Chinese drug police, and illegal immigrants in China in action movies or on television, and this was the place where for the first time i saw all these things in real life... for me it was a reminder that there are places in this country not as safe or developed as the cities in the southeast, and that, at risk of sounding condescending, there are young people devoting themselves in faraway places void of luxuries and comforts keeping this country safe. So i thought it was worth a review on Tripadvisor. In addition, the Wanding bridge is also said to be the crosspoint where Japanese armies were driven out of China at the end of World War II. 交通不是很方便，沿途是砖头路，比较平整，但有一小段坑坑洼洼，特别难走。附近没有餐馆和便利店。必须要跟从导游进洞参观，整个餐馆需要大概40分钟。洞内比较潮湿，路很窄，很难走。如果腿脚不便，年龄偏大，或者是体型较大的人不建议进洞。 See more..

Yunyyan Stupa is not a particuarly interesting place. While the stupa itself is beautiful on a blue sky day, I would not take time to come and visit unless I was already in the area for other reasons. It is set in a wooded park, which is unfortuantly not well maintained, with a lot of rubbish scattered around when I visitied in November 2015. But it does offer some pleasent views over Yingjiang Town and surrounding mountains, which may be of interest, but are again nothing spectacular. The stupa is also a 15 minute walk from Leyuan Temple, which is to the south. It is a small temple, but when combined with a visit to Yunyan Stupa, may make the outing more worth it. See more..
