   The memorial museum and park are definitely worth taking an afternoon or morning to see. We took a cab to the Memorial (Cabs in Baise are dirt cheap by US standards and a handy way to get around if you can communicate with the Chinese driver.), but had some difficulty hailing a cab back, so we took the bus back to the city. When you arrive you can climb the front stairs, or go around to the other entrance and climb or be driven up (for about 10 Yen per person). Taking the stairs is a challenge, but very "doable." The gardens a statues at the top (up beyond the actual museum) are very nice and worth strolling through. The museum is very well done. The view of the city from the balcony is very nice and hindered only by the smog. The museum is designed to be grand and inspiring. The displays are well done and have enough English translation for you to get the gist of what they are saying. The poor translation can be a little distracting, but do help communicate a Chinese patriotic mindset. They could be even more helpful if you take some time to do a little research on the uprising. There was no charge for the museum itself, and there are reasonably priced refreshments inside the museum. On the whole, I would recommend a visit if you are in Baise, but don't think I would make a special trip to Baise just to see it. See more..

   this is a great place to visit. the resort provides you a relaxing atmosphere and some great walking places a little bit further up. i think there are boat for hiring if you want to travel into the lake, however, we didn't hire the boat for this instance. in general, a good place to visit.
