We made a whole day south side boat trip with 7 people. We could not visit the island that was planned because of too big waves so we had to visit another island. This island was really full of garbage all over, and a lot of glass os the beach, so we had to wear shoes. It was also impossible to go swimming because of a rocky bottom, I tried and cut my finger on something sharpp immediately. We spend 1 whole hour on this island where we really could not do anything. After this we went to the other side of the island and stayed there for almost the whole remaining time. So this meant hours of just sitting around on hte boat without anything to do. We tried snorkeling, but the water was too brown to see anything. We also got stung by something in the water. We were 4 vegetarians on the boat so we got to eat rice, while the others got nice grilled seafood. So it was not really worth the money for the vegetarians who paid the same amount as the non-vegetarians. During the last hour on this spot the guide took us for coffee in a local place on the island. We played around with some cute puppies while another dog came around. The dog was in poor shape and got dragged away from a local man, screaming in pain. This was not enough, he also threw some rocks really hard on the dog who was already trying to run away screaming of fear and pain. This was a really traumatic experience for us as tourists who are not used to this kind of animal treatement. This gave a really bad ending to the already not so good tour and left some of us scarred. In the end we also had to 300m from the boat to land in the water with a really bottom. The trip could have been nice, but it really was not. Alsp, the guide did not really tell us that much during the trip. See more..

    Kep Adventures image
If you have one day in Kep, this is the tour i recommend. Today my husband and i spent the day on a traditional Khmer fishing boat from which we snorkeled, swam, and saw the nearby islands. The boat covering of rice straw kept us in the shade and the guide, one of the owners who is from Belgium, gave insights into the culture and customs of Cambodia. The lunch was a delicious barbecue prepared on the boat. We have participated in many snorkel tours in many countries, this was by far one of the very best. See more..

Welcome! Opened June 3, 2018, in memory of our beloved mother’s birthday, Flying Dog Farm is named after our little puppy, Happy, and it is a NEW Kampot pepper farm & shop in Kep Province, Cambodia. We envision our pepper farm in a garden-like atmosphere, chemical-free, in a Cambodian-style country setting from the 1960’s. We grow, process, and package our Kampot black, red, and white pepper to the highest quality. “Kampot pepper is to Cambodia as champagne is to France.” Harvesting season is from January through May and high-tourist months are from October to March annually. Please visit us for a free tour, quality time, soft drinks and, of course, delicious, gourmet Kampot pepper. We are open Tuesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Closed: Mondays. Thanks! See more..

I really recommend the Tyka Boat Cruise. Chris is an excellent and charming host. We left from Samanea resort and headed off the the Islands for some snorkelling a lovely BBQ of fresh fish, fruit and a nice drop of wine. Chris was able to tell us a little about the history and the geography of the archipelago which made the trip really enjoyable. Whether as a couple or a group you won't be disappointed. We enjoyed our whole Kep experience but this was the highlight. See more..

    EcoBoat Adventure Tour image
I enjoyed this trip a lot. The view from the sea to the town is really beautiful. It was my first time seeing mangrove forest and it’s absolutely amazing place, the sunset there is stunning. Also I’ve been lucky to see planktons on the way back! They say you can also see fireflies in some months. Our guide explained us history of Kep and importance of mangrove forests on our planet. So it’s a good educational adventure. The trip took around 4 hours, so I ordered some sandwiches and drinks beforehand, which was pretty wise haha. I highly recommend to take this trip! See more..

    Champei Organic Farm image
There's a lot of walking to do, but it's the beauty of this place that captures the imagination. It's free of charge, and pepper is available at their shop. The architect gets a thumps-up from me. Best pepper farm I've even seen. I'll come back and visit when I'm in Kep again. See more..

    Points of Interest & Landmarks
    Samathi Pagoda image
Sitting atop a hill in beautiful Kep, this amazing pagoda has panoramic views of the islands in the distance. I was the only person there, so I had plenty of time to capture all the beauty of this quiet and peaceful place. If you've got a couple of hours to spend, make sure you come here, and take some time to relax and take it all in. It's worth it See more..

  15. 4.5 Patio (5 reviews)
    - Pepper Plantaion in town
    Spent 1-2 hours Farms
    Patio image
This is a relatively new pepper plantation in the heart of Kep. Being so, you won’t have to put up with the masses of other tourists vying for attention. This activity can be included in a day trip from Kampot using something like the Crab Shuttle and one of the Tuk-tuks that operate from the end of the pier. This Pepper Farm Tour along with a lovely lunch at one of the many crab market restaurants in the area makes for a great day out. It is my belief that the Patio Pepper Plantation in Kep have plans to include a restaurant on site soon, but for now, a meal in town is your best option. Have fun See more..
  16. 4.0 Koh Tonsay (Rabbit Island) (1.046 reviews)
    - Lovely island off the coast of Kep
    Islands
    Koh Tonsay (Rabbit Island) image
Koh Tonsay or Rabbit Island is approx 30 min boat ride away. To buy tickets is a little chaotic and a form to complete, with name, dob, passport number etc. Some people didn't have or know there passport number so we're advised to put any number on the form. Again not sure why as no one checks you on the boats or checks you come back. The ride over was great and you land on the main beach, that has some beach bars that sell food and drinks at very reasonable prices a d offer free sun beds on the beach or hammocks in a shaded ataps just behind the beds in the trees. The island is relaxed and has many little sandy coves. Weekends many local families pop over and picnic on some of the beaches away from the main beach. On the other side of the island a film crew were making a film with full native makeup. A very good day trip. See more..

  18. 4.0 Kep Crab Market (590 reviews)
    - Traveled All the Way from Phnom Penh for Crab
    Speciality & Gift Shops
    Kep Crab Market image
After 3 weeks in Phnom Penh, I needed a break and wanted to go to the coast. This crab market was interesting at 6:30 in the morning. Watched the fisherman walk out to retrieve their cages then back at the dock, they go through a manual sorting process. Locals come to buy them in quantity. I had a delicious crab cake at Le Strand restaurant in Kep. My private driver drove me from PP. He is the best. Taxi Tom is a safe driver which is of utmost importance in Cambodia. Hire him: [email protected] See more..
  19. 4.0 Kep Butterfly Farm (266 reviews)
    - Tot rust komen in Kep
    Nature & Wildlife Areas
    Kep Butterfly Farm image
We visited the crab market and the Kep beach and were driven crazy by the noise and the amount of people. Our lovely tuktukdriver (Lim tuktuk Kampot) recommended us to come here to have a quiet moment, and he was absolutely right! $2 is quite a lot for just the butterfly garden, which is lovely but small, but surrounding the farm is an amazing landscape of little streams and bridges, swings and a beautiful wooden house with a platform which gives you an amazing lookout point and a place to sit and relax. 20. 4.0 Phnom Kampong Trach Cave (126 reviews)
    - A beautiful and mystic place almost empty of people.
    Caverns & Caves
    Phnom Kampong Trach Cave image
There is an assembly of limestone hills covered in Jungle amidst of rice fields. In one of the hills there is this network of caves with its shrines. One of them is filled with a small lake. There is a kind old lady who shows you around. She is takes you on a climbing tour to the best spots and points out the best photo motives. I gave her a generous tip at the end. See more..
  21. 4.0 Ranch of the Plantation (34 reviews)
    - Great alternative to typical activities
    Spent 1-2 hours Ranches
    Ranch of the Plantation image
I took the long horseback tour, about two or three hours. We went up the mountain to the Wat, then down to a small fishing village and back to the farm for a cold beer. I called them by phone and the owner answered instructing me just 'to go and somebody will be there". Indeed, a young friendly French woman greeted me and was excited i had come to ride. The horses are a bit stubborn, and it can be quite physical. Fun, adventurous and different. Actually one of the male horses kept trying to mount a mare when we got back and it was pretty wild to watch as the staff had to control them, which wasn't easy. Also lots of the abandoned villas of Kep are in this area. I also left the young woman a small tip which she seemed surprised to receive, but she earned it. See more..
  22. 4.0 Knai Bang Chatt (20 reviews)
    - Kep is for seafood
Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Boat Rentals • Stand Up Paddleboarding • Kayaking & Canoeing
    Knai Bang Chatt image
Knai Bang Chatt, is a fantastic hotel that was once 3 separate homes. One was the home of the French Governor of the area, the second was the cousin of the King of Cambodia and the third was the home for a high Government official. The present owner purchased the 3 properties and turned it into a Fantastic Hotel. The road journey from Phnom Phen was an experience by it's self, on Highway number 3, it should be called TRACK #3, 4 hours for 150 kms. But the journey was worth it. Kep is a great little place and the accommodation was great. Great staff, great position, clean, huge balcony overlooking the Gulf of Siam. The Sailing club next door has amazing food with fantastic staff and really lay back. Well worth eating there, in fact we did many times. The two main reasons we went to Kep was 1) The Crab and seafood 2) Kampot Pepper (brought 2 kilos home) See more..
  23. 4.0 Kepmandou Lounge-Bar (16 reviews)
    - Outstanding customer service!
    Bars & Clubs
    Kepmandou Lounge-Bar image
Unfortunately I have been taken ill with what seems to be food poisoning from one of the local restaurants. I won't go into details but it's nasty, I am so weak and things are coming out from both ends! Moving on... The staff here have been wonderful! Getting me stomach tablets, sugar drinks, rehydration packets and every now and again coming to see if I'm ok. I can't explain to u how unwell I am right now but with the caring staff helping me it makes me feel so much better! The actual resort is lovely, really chilled out and they staff aim to please. The rooms are good and not overly priced. The toilets have become my best friend or worst enemy which ever way you would like to see it but they are nice and clean. The area is a little out of the way but they hire mopeds for you to get around. So I would recommend you stay here! :) happy traveling x See more..

  27. 3.0 Angkul Beach (77 reviews)
    - Nice breathing, but not Swimming
    Beaches
    Angkul Beach image
Angkul Beach is truly a fishing village where you could meet a lot of fishing boat and fishermen, but this place is not an ideal for swimming yet unless there is an effort from the authority to clean the floating and displaying plastic bags. However, you can have good sea food there in the coconut hut. On a recent inspection trip of our company treat Asia Natural Tour, we got some fun and good food there. Just an advice, please be careful with your guidebook ;) See more..
