Hidden in the Anina Mountains, Bigar Waterfall is truly spectacular. Its shape and plant carpet conquers anyone. The beautiful pouring of water over the moss carpet is a unique natural phenomenon in the world. Having the shape of a cone, the waterfall is about 8 meters high and has as its source an underground water source that drains on a limestone wall. There you have the opportunity to descend on a wooden ladder at the base of the waterfall or to admire it from a height on a bridge over the river Nera. You can take photos from many angles and discover indescribable landscapes. This is my second visit and I can honestly say that it is worth seeing.See more..

We are a family of 3 and we visited this place during our stay for New Year’s Eve 2019.the trip was great,we used the chairlift at the Borsa ski slope and then walked to the location.we had a small sled with us so our children enjoyed the trip very much.
