Nice trip with family
We are a family of 3 and we visited this place during our stay for New Year’s Eve 2019.the trip was great,we used the chairlift at the Borsa ski slope and then walked to the location.we had a small sled with us so our children enjoyed the trip very much. The waterfall was frozen but still beautiful If you get the chance to visit the region,I recommend this as a daytrip

It's not just the waterfall
We went up the hill from our Pensiunea, which is the closest to the Cascada Cailor. It's a good one hour hiking, starting from the unpaved path. Saw many mushrooms, some black berries on the way (plucking and eating them) and amazed by the stream of river from the waterfall. The waterfall is very tall and it's easily seen from far. We went in September where temperature is still quite cold especially near the waterfall, my advise is to bring along a light jacket or at least something that covers you from the wind. The only bad part is there are way too many rubbish on the sides of the track. Hikers and tourists simply threw the emptied bottles around.
