    Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle) image
Bran Castle is one of the most famous landmarks in Transylvania, and is known as the home of Count Dracula. The 14th-century hillside castle and fortress, however, actually houses a collection of furniture and artworks that once belonged to Marie, Romania’s last queen. Tour the eerie castle—including the infamous torture room—and decide for yourself what's fact or fiction. Located about 120 miles away from Bucharest, the castle and Transylvania are a great day trip from the capital, especially for lovers of medieval history and vampires. While you're there, don’t forget to get a few spooky souvenirs from the gift shops at the castle's entrance. – Tripadvisor See more..

    Muzeul Consumatorului Comunist image
The Communist Consumers Museum is designed as a typical Romanian apartment from that era, with a living room, children's room, kitchen and hallways. It displays on shelves, in closets and drawers most of everything that Romanians could buy before the revolution of 1989, from toys to vinyls, TV and radio sets to bicycles, kitchen attire and much, much more. After traveling through time in the museum, one can also enjoy a nice relaxing time in the upstairs bar: Scart Loc Lejer. See more..
  5. 4.0 Banat Village Museum (78 reviews)
    - Tradition and architecture of the old times
    Spent 1-2 hours Speciality Museums
    Banat Village Museum image
The Banat Village museum of Timisoara , a several hectares park that has a collection of traditional houses from the region of Banat and Crisana. It has a great potential and some of the building are beautifully refurbished, however there were not too many visitors. The entrance fee is 5 Ron - about 1 Euro - and the nice touch is the fact that you actually get a poste card with the Village Museum not just a simple ticket. Some of the houses/buildings are open so the visitors can enter and in front of almost every house there is an information panel so you can get some info about that specific building. Overall the place is very interesting, if you are interested in history and the architecture in the villages of Banat in the past centuries for sure you will find it interesting. If you would like a nice walk I recommend you try this place. See more..
