The day was very beautiful and sunny. It made me want to visit this park and see its beautiful animals. We were lucky to see the hippos outside the lake and most of the animals having lunch. It's a very nice zoo! We always take our kids there, one is 11 and the other one is 18 months. Both like the place, there is a great area to have picnics, with big wooden tables and banks, shadowed by huge trees. They have a great selection of animals (much more than you'd think if you compare with the city size where it is located). The best thing I think is that they are always improving the whole zoo, for the visitors and for the animals. We go there since we where kids. There's also a part where teachers can take their students to pass the night and to take a ride with explanations from their biologist during the night (to watch night animals) and during the day inside their area that's not opened to regular visit.See more..

Description The area where the Ecological Park of San Carlos was created, was to the 60's, a public pool, known as the Municipal Pool Espraiado and the remnants of this era can be seen in the current Lake Patos. Later, during the 70s a Foundation was created and deployed, receiving the name of FUPESC, its inauguration was held on September 9, 1976, the date that the Ecological Park adopted as inauguration and birthday. In the mid 80s, the Ecological Park passed control to the City of San Carlos and in 1989 a Master Plan, which outlined a philosophy of work, to handle and study the Brazilian fauna and conserve biodiversity was prepared by research and environmental education. The Ecological Park of Sao Carlos, known as CFSP has the name of a recognized Medical Veterinarian, Dr. Antonio Teixeira Vianna, who among other achievements created the breed of cattle Canchim along EMBRAPA of San Carlos. Joined definitive IBAMA in 1991, currently offers the CFSP population contemplative leisure and environmental education by attending schools with guided tours, courses, lectures and exhibitions. To create an attractive and playful environment, facilitating learning, the enclosures that house the various species of wild animals are acclimatised according to their biomes such as the Cerrado and the Plain Patagonia. We spent the entire day at Pet Zoo with my two little ones (9 and 4 years). They thoroughly enjoyed getting up and close with the animals, feeding them, and getting their pictures taken. The staff are just fantastic. The food at the restaurant is also good, toilets are clean and well stocked. Apart from the animals there are other activities for the children to enjoy - both kids tired the zip wire for the first time and got addicted to it. They also have a small canopy walk across a couple of trees. I would readily recommend this for a day out.See more..

Passamos um dia muito agradável em família e com amigos e tivemos uma experiência positiva em relação ao parque. Já na entrada fomos recepcionados por uma funcionária bem simpática e motivada, assim como todos os outros funcionários que tivemos contato. O parque estava bem cuidado, com banheiros impecáveis e uma grande variedade de animais que creio muito bem alimentados por estarem bem gordinhos! Sim, pagamos 40,00 por pessoa, porém esse valor nos deu direito a passeio de tirolesa, charrete, whaterboll, futebol de sabão, além de uso de todas as áreas do parque e playground. O restaurante possui uma área kids, variedade no cardápio e ainda uma vista linda. Vale a muito a pena conhecer! Voltarei mais vezes com toda a certeza.See more..
