4.5Areia que Canta(1.582 reviews) - A must to visit. Sunday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent More than 3 hours Nature & Wildlife Areas
I have been there three times now and each time it has been a unique experience. You cannot get the real sense unless you go into the pool, I will not spoil it here, but you will feel a sensation which in my experience is unique. It is amazing and you cannot help but smile and want to stay in the pool longer.See more..
4.5Ecoparque Cassorova(1.086 reviews)from $39.37 - Great for couples Sunday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent More than 3 hours Nature & Wildlife Areas
Elected by the Travel and Tourism Magazine among the 8 most beautiful waterfalls in Brazil. In Ecoparque Cassorova nature talks. Speech by Cassorova waterfall, one of the "postcards" of Brotas, imposing, with 60 meters high and pool bath. Speech by Waterfall of Quatis, hidden after a track in the middle of preserved forest. Speaks of the landscape greatness Valley Cassorova, and the abundance of water from all sides. Talk harmoniously with our structure, so that our visitors can hear it but with the comfort they deserve. We have complete leisure infrastructure with natural water pools, mini waterfall, gazebo, beautiful trails that give access to the two waterfalls, restaurant and snack bar. If you choose Brotas as the destination of your next trip, this is a place you can not miss.See more..
the grotto of angel is a very nice but hided place in the hills of Socorro. With a little pedalo we were able to "drive" trough the caves and take one of the best pictures ever!See more..
4.5Parque da Represa Municipal(488 reviews) - Best Outdoors in Rio Preto Spent More than 3 hours Nature & Wildlife Areas • Parks
This place is perfect whether you want to spend some quality time with your family and relatives or just want to have some time on your own, go for a walk, enjoy the company of the friendly Capybaras, the birds that come back from the wild at sunset. Try some "pastel" and "agua de côco" (coccount water).See more..
This park is one of the geological treasures of the world. It is a unique experience of traveling to the past of our planet and witness year by year the climate at that moment. 280 millions years ago... As strange as it can be, very few local people know about the importance of this magnificent place. Google Parque do Varvito and ask for a translation. Most of the information are in Portuguese. If you are near this region don't miss this one of a kind spot. It is a 30 minutes walk or more if you like to appreciate all corners. You may get disappointed with the lack of infrastructure and services to guests. Don't let it spoil your experience. If you are lucky you will find scientists in a exploratory expedition or schools with a guide. Get close, learn more!See more..

4.5Fazendinha Toriba(253 reviews) - Great time with my daughter Sunday: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Nature & Wildlife Areas
We spent one morning in this place which is part of the Hotel Toriba. However you do not have to be at the hotel to visit the area and you will be charged anyway. We had a very experienced guide leading us throughout the place and we are allowed to feed the animals. The animals are very well treated and include gooses, ducks, small horses, rabbits, pigs, goats, etc. There is a small bar and free rides back and forth the hotel.See more..
4.5Fazenda Ipanema(191 reviews) - If you like hiking, highly recommended. Sunday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Historic Sites • Nature & Wildlife Areas
Looks like I’m the first to write about this place in English. It’s a historic site with one of the first industrial establishments in Brazil. Impressive building and machinery! But that’s not the jewel. The park has guided hikes to the top (you’re only allowed to hike with an official guide, so check if you come during weekdays). It’s about 8km, up 600m. On the hike up, you will reach the bottom of a cliff, then go up with some roped path. Then you’ll reach a rock platform with an iron cross with a panoramic view. Further up, you’ll reach the top with a monument. Very impressive. On the way back, we’re welcomed by hundreds of butterflies! All sorts of colours, mostly orange with some bright blue ones. Absolutely amazing. There’s a small cafeteria at the base with bathroom facilities. Free drinking water fountain available there. The guide costs R$10 each and I think they charge R$9 for the car park (perhaps per person). I think there are infrequent public transportation from Sorocaba, but I’m not sure. It’s an excellent way to spend a weekend morning here!See more..

It has one of the best landscapes of the public gardens in Sorocaba. It's quite small, but great for a walk with dogs, a pic nic or an afternoon with kids. It's quite well conserved, compared to other parks, and has a good amout of trees, that make the sun of Sorocaba bearable. A good option for a lazy weekend.See more..

4.5Parque Caminhos do Mar(80 reviews) - The elderly pathways to the sea! Sunday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Nature & Wildlife Areas • Parks
In addition to the ecotourism, the trail is also a historical-cultural program. In its course, several monuments and buildings, some dating from 1922, reconstitute the importance of this path in the history of the interconnection between the coast and the area of São Paulo. During the 9 km trail you will visit the Casa de Visitas, Pouso Paranpiacaba, Belvedere Circular, Calcada de Lorena and Rancho da Maioridade. Also you will pass through an Atlantic Forest and you will admire the biodiversity of flora and fauna with a lot of small waterflows and rivers. The trail had medium difficulty and are needed 4 to 5 hours to be crossed. In order to enjoy your visit choose a good travel office which can organize this visit carefully. I was lucky because I was part of a very good group and the organization by the travel office was excellent.!See more..

Se for aventureiro, vai adorar. Gostamos muito, mas ficamos bem cansados, a descida força bem o joelho, precisa tomar cuidado. Recomendamos!!!!See more..

After our walk, we drove 10 mins till Casa Grande and Capela Santo Antônio, a great historical site from 17th century. The church in there is really cute - worth to seesSee more..
See more..

I went to Serra do Japi with friends to trek in Mirante's trail on a Sunday morning and it was great. The visit should be booked and followed by an authorized guide and it is much more an environmental preservation class than an ecotourism trekking. The guide Wellington de Oliveira Dorta was very nice, helpful and a real teacher of geography, biology and ecology. Serra do Japi is a preserved treasure right next to the city.
See more..
