Dong Zen Temple is located in Jenjarom within the Kuala Langat district of Selangor state. Dong Zen Temple is founded by Venerable Master Hsing Yun in 1994 and serves as the headquarters of Fo Guang Shan Malaysia. Literally translated in Chinese, “Dong” means “East” and “Zen” means “The tranquil mind”. As a phrase, it means “the tranquil mind in the east”, representing the hub of a Buddhist centre in the South East Region. Mdm. Khenh Kian Hong (1934-2005) first donated 2 acres of land to FGS Buddhist Monastery for building of a temple in Malaysia. Later, with the help of Mdm. Khenh, the neighbouring owners agreed to sell their land to FGS. The founder of FGS, Ven. Master Hsing Yun, personally officiated the development ceremony on 24 November 1989, it was developed in 1994 and commenced usage in 1996. Now the temple has created a new avenue for tourism and it also acts as an important cultural and educational center.See more..

4.5Sri Shakti Temple(54 reviews) - very worthwhile combining with a trip to Selangor to see the fireflies Spent 1-2 hours Religious Sites
We visited as the first stop of our "monkey feeding, fireflies & blue tears experience" with Jalan with M.K. This was a great trip, starting with the 1 hour drive from Kuala Lumpur to Bukit Sri Shakti. We visited this Rotan Hindu Temple for 30 minutes or so, as enroute. The temple was lovely to see and May was able to share a lot of interesting information. No photos allowed from inside the temple which is such a shame as it is really detailed and beautiful, although we took several from outside.See more..

A beautiful temple indeed. They practice Tibetan Buddhism here. This is also a monastery but they welcome visitors. You could easily miss the entrance as it is by the main road. Just watch out for a yellow sign board and the path to the temple looks challenging. Interesting location but it is peaceful. See more..

4.0Sri Krishna Paramathma Temple(1 review) - Small well maintained temple dedicated to Lord Krishna, Rama and Hanuman. Spent < 1 hour Religious Sites I was quite surprised when i visited this small Krishna temple in Rawang. It was well maintained, clean and follows all the Hindu rituals and festivals. I was quite amazed.. This temple has a big statue of Lord Hanuman.. There is a small flower shop next to the temple, where you can buy all the flowers for the lord. Parking of the vehicle, we did it along the road side.. Not big enough, but can accommodate 5-10 cars at a time.. I would suggest a visit to this small temple if you have some time..See more..

4.0Kuil Sri Sivan(1 review) - Amazing Temple! Religious Sites Sri Sivan Temple have been very much integral for daily lives of the Hindu Community in Klang. Very much located within the vicinity of Lourdes Church, Mosques, Sri Thendayuthapani Temple, and Gurdwara Sahib, this temple have been one of the most visited sites for all Klang folks. The prayers performed such as Mokhsa Deepam, Shivarathiri, and many more prayers related to the Lord Sivan. Dual language is practised in the temple during communication, English and Tamil. The Chief priest, Mr Murugan and his team had been very much hospitable all along. Currently, renovation is taking place for Gopuram, so bear in mind that it can be crowded and stuffy at times. No, any footwear is allowed in the temple and you much wash your leg the entrances. Nevertheless, a very nice place to visit and pray.See more..
I had visited this temple and it was difficult to find, as it's located in the middle of Oil Palm estates.. This temple is more than 100 yrs old.. To go to these temple it will take around 30 minutes drive deep inside the estate path. It is not a friendly road I would say. But once we reach the temple , I think it is all worth it. As old saying goes, when people go to this temple, they are blessed with kids.. People generally speed Turmeric and Kumkum on the god. If you are going to this temple, please do kindly buy a packet of each to spread it over the god. In terms of parking vehicles, there is ample parking space close to the temple.. Kindly drive in the day time and not during the evenings, as it's difficult to find due to darkness.See more..
