Ramayan in the caves

Situated near batu caves is this beautiful cave called ramayana caves. The complete story on ramayan is so beautifully carved on the stones that u are mesmerised with the view. Its well kept and is so interesting to see that how someone imagined to brief the whole Indian mythology on caves that too so far from India. A must see place.

    A mystic spot
The cave was beautifully illuminated and had some life-sized statues of hindu gods. The place was a lot like a museum and attraction that adds value to the adjoining Batu Caves. Admission is RM5 and is definitely worth it.

    Unexpected Fantasy Land
I call it a Fantasy Land but with respect to the fact that this cave has a very religious background - apologies if I offended. The visitor walks into a cave entrance and is immediately taken aback by the size, the coloured lights and the diorama of statues that tell the story of the Indian Ramayana epic. The colours are entrancing. The ceiling of the cave looms way up high overhead and every now and then you catch a glimpse of some birds flitting around to and from their nests. There is a steep semi-spiral stairway at the back of the cave which allows you a view down to the cave floor and a wider view the dioramas skirting the edges of the cave walls. Too, being inside the cave is a cool relief from the outside humidity ad heat!
