Iconic landmark for the city's culture
The National Theatre is a beautiful building and a place with vibrant cultural energy! The building itself is in a really good condition and the institution has decent performances. The National Opera of Iasi also holds here its performances. There is also a visitor's ticket available for those who only want to have a tour of the Theatre without seeing a performance. Definitely a "must-see" for a first-timer in Iasi!

Beautiful building ... near the pedestrian area in Iasi.
Opened in 1840 it is the oldest national theater in Romania. The building is beautiful in its own and is definitely worth a visit even if you are not going to see a play. The building can be visit - but you need to arrive before 5PM , if there is no play that evening - and you can visit the interior - I was not able to do that ... somehow there were other venues and the theater was the last on pour list. Visiting is very pocket friendly in terms of price - just under 2 euros ... again if you are not buying a ticket for a play , when the price will be for sure different. Very interesting - well maintained , architecturally interesting building for sure worth a stop for a few pics even if only from the outside.
