My wife and I called in on the last afternoon of a fortnight's trip round Romania. It was one of the highlights. There is a car park outside. The building has been renovated to become an attractive educational experience. Tickets are cheap (6 lei each). We were welcomed by Alexandra, who was able to give us an explanation of the history of the project and its context. The displays were all very up-to date (including contemporary information about exoplanets and Kuiper belt objects for example) and fully bi-lingual. There were other exhibits included a space suit. The view from the terrace was panoramic and there was a sign showing us what the various sights were. I would have liked more information about Victor Anestin and his achievements, because in the UK he is not well known. Across the road is a restaurant which is handy. We didn't find the place too easy to find, the signposting could be better. There is a small shop with some souvenirs you can buy. See more..
