The tower of Golia is 30 m height. The visitors who want to have a panorama view of the city have to climb 130 stairs. The tower is one of the city's symbols.

    Mănăstirea Golia was my favorite interior in Iasi!
    You can wander the grounds leisurely, and the monks have shifts to provide information during visiting hours. The monk was very friendly, however, he became reticent after he asked why I was visiting and I mimed clicking a camera because I don't speak Romanian (I was on a photography trip). My trip gave me the impression is that photography is discouraged if not forbidden in Orthodox churches. The interior is absolutely gorgeous, and my favorite during my short visit through Romania.

    Preserved monastery
    Very pleasent site in the center of the city. Beautiful garden and nice architecture. The interior of the monastery is partially under renovation, therefore not everything may be seen. There was no information about the place available, which has a long and interesting history.
