Magnificent views
Worth the walk up to the park from the marina. Views are panoramic and absolutely magnificent. Be aware that it is a steep walk up and down. It’s a lovely park with many people running walking and taking dogs for a stroll.

Great views
It's a bit of a walk up from the lower town, but well worth the views when you get there. You can see more or less 360 degrees. And the park is nice, some big trees and lots of camellias. The park is very popular with dog walkers and people jogging.

Perfect views.
On a recent cruise stop we decided to wander through the town and to the top of this fort. The entrance to the fort is approximately 15 minutes walk uphill from the cruise terminal - through the oyster market or shopping centers. It then took us approximately 30 minutes and what must have been hundreds of steps up to the top of the hill. Was it worth it? Absolutely. Even though we visited in November, the skies were clear and the views amazing. Great photo op. You can see straight down to the port, to the cruise ship and across the bay, over the tops of all the buildings - lovely. Lots of evergreen trees and an abundance of places to sit. The steps are in stages with plenty of places to stop and catch your breath! We spent a further 30 minutes walking around the old fort and celtic settlement before heading back to do some shopping in town. Going back is a lot easier! You absolutely must be prepared for a lot of uphill walking and steps so wear comfy shoes.
