Scenic Waterfall

A full day tour of Finisterre and the Costa da Morte with Tour Galicia included a visit at this scenic waterfall located on the Xallas River. It’s visible from the small marina, but you can follow a wooden walkway to the foot of the falls for a close-up view (less scenic is the nearby power plant). Multiple streams of water cascade over sculpted rock formations and hillside. I’m guessing the waterflow is controlled at the upstream reservoir, so perhaps the water flow fluctuates. What I saw is picturesque and a nice addition to the day’s itinerary for a short stop.

    Beautiful waterfalls
    We stopped shortly here with an excursion from A Coruna to Costa da Morte and the place is really beautiful. I would like to go back to Galicia and then go for a full day there because there were people doing kayak there and it must be really fun. However no one was bathing or swimming there so perhaps it is not recommended. For bathing or swimming I recommend Fervenza do Toxa.

    Unique waterfall really close to the sea
    If you ever have the chance to visit the amazing waterfall in Ézaro, don't miss it! It's a magical place, steps away from the sea. I highly recommend it!
