We visited Bath for two days. While there are so many things to explore in the city of Bath, I highly recommend this tour (free) plus the Roman Bath (entrance fee was around 20 pounds that you can purchase ahead of time- in 2023) if you only have limited time in the city like us. Shoutout to Mr. Mike Charleton (hope I spelled his name correctly!) as well as the city of Bath for a great tour! Mr. Charleton was extremely thorough in explaining Bath's history, architecture, and the city's relevance to modern pop culture (Harry Potter films, celebrity tidbits etc). The tour is about 2 hours, and you are free to leave in the middle anytime -- but it's so good that you want to stay for the whole time anyways. Thank you Mr. Charleton for giving my mom, boyfriend, and I a fantastic tour!!! :) I cannot stop raving about how pleasantly memorable this tour was out of our whole trip to London and Bath! I booked onto a Sea Kayaking afternoon session with 3 members of my family on Friday 15th October 2021 at the Newquay Activity Centre. Our Instructor Amy was very friendly and gave us excellent tuition which made us feel very safe to keep afloat and fully enjoy the whole experience. This was especially important as the 3 of the 4 us had never sea kayaked before. Amy took us quite far out to sea on a wonderfully warm and sunny October afternoon to practice our skills and explore the old Smugglers' caves, explaining the history as she went along. At all times Amy had an eye on us and our safety. Part of the group wanted to have fun in the sea and practiced changing Kayaks and take photos which we watched with great entertainment. Overall, it was an exhilarating experience and I would highly recommend it - we will be back next year to repeat this activity and try other activities on offer with the Newquay Activity Centre. This was a brilliant introduction to Bath with such a knowledgeable guide, Andrew, whose passion for Bath and engaging story telling, seemed to give him as much pleasure as the group. He chatted to us all, we asked questions and with every question came another fascinating anecdote. He says he would run over time and he did, there was no rush at all. An incredible collection put together with a lot of passion and hard work over the years. Plenty of time, or more than one visit, is necessary to absorb the content, not just that of the overall museum, but of each section within. So many fascinating artifacts and things to see, at times it was almost overwhelming to take it all in. Friendly and very helpful staff / volunteers, I highly recommend anyone to pay a visit to this museum, especially if having an interest in military and / or aviation history. Great 2 hr Kayaking experience with Danni. We were an older couple with no kayaking experience in a group of very fit young men. We had no need to worry. Danni kept it very chilled and interesting, hearing all about Old Harry Rocks among other things and we never felt under pressure. Ok as I promised last year, I returned for more lessons with the gang at Woolacombe Surf Centre. I was a bit later in the month than last time which meant some of the crew had already finished for the season but fortunately Sam was ready to put me through my paces and check out my specific style of gangly waving arms technique which sometimes and somehow keeps me on a surfboard. Once again I have nothing but praise for the knowledge of my instructor Sam, the quality of the equipment in use and the way I was treated like an old friend returning after a long absence. I would also like to say a big thank you for the way you looked after my stepson Jordan who thoroughly enjoyed his morning session but failed the longevity challenge of an afternoon session. We will be returning next year only hopefully leaner, fitter and slightly greyer but even more motivated to conquer the gangly arms and maybe try one of those out back waves. See more..

An incredible experience! My friend and I booked a last minute morning of coasteering by simply calling them, so a very simple booking process. All equipment (including trashable trainers) was expertly selected for size and provided at no extra cost! We set off with another group of 5 who were very friendly and our leader Rich who throughout the excursion gave great demonstrations and explanations of what to do and how to safely get in and out of the water, followed by cliff jumping, bouldering and swimming. We even saw two grey seals however we couldn’t get too close due to the risk of scaring the seals away from their natural habitat. Once we were all tired and cold and wet our leader pulls out a steaming hot flask of hot chocolate that worked wonders and geared us up for the final stretch , a lovely walk and chit chat over the coastal path back to base. Would highly recommend coasteering with these guys to anyone wishing to challenge themselves or just have fun!! See more..

One of the highlights of our week in Cornwall which can be done in any weather. Myself and my two boys 8 & 10 where in a group with another family with slightly older children all for a 3hour Coasteering adventure. The day before we had joined in with lots of other member of the public jumping off the harbour walls at Porthleven which for our 8 year old helped to build his confidence. The instructors Nick and JP were absolutely fantastic with the whole group and managed to get a great rapour with us all over the 3 hours especially our 8 year old who can be very independent and literal with communication. Everyone in the group had an amazing time. My boys cannot stop talking about it and have absorbed all the techniques and safety instructions given by the instructors. We came to Wetmouth for a mini holiday and booked tue gentle Durdle Door cruise for whilst we were here. Looked great from the reviews and we really wanted to visit Durdle Door. We were a bit apprehensive at first as we had a big storm on the Friday and wasn’t sure on what the conditions would be like for having our 7 year old with us on the Saturday. I messaged their Facebook page and was given the thumbs up on Saturday morning that all was running as expected. Sun was out, not much wind etc so it was a great day. We had John who was our skipper for the hour and he was really interactive and knew his stuff about the coastline and different points along the way. Although this was a ‘gentle’ cruise, we certainly got a bit of speed up which made it really exciting, especially for my Son. We passed some cruise ships along the way, the Queen Elizabeth was moored up which was a nice sight too! Spotted the 2 resident Dolphins who came close to say hello. It was my Son’s first encounter with Dolphins and he was made up! Great sights of Durdle Door, got really close, loads of opportunity for pictures too; exactly what we wanted! On the way back we went around the cruise ships again and the Dolphins were back and stayed around us for much longer, getting really close and allowing us to take lots of photos. This was an amazing experience! We had Laurie as an instructor for our Stand up Paddle Board tour around Bath. He was so lovely and easy to chat with, and really added to our experience. No one in our group had paddle boarded before and some of us felt quite anxious and uneasy, and Laurie helped to put everyone’s minds at ease, and helped us build our confidence on the paddle boards. He also seemed to really enjoy what he was doing which made the experience all the better, time was no issue and he made sure we got the most out of the experience rather than rushing us back by the end of our slot. We had guests visiting us in Bath that we took on the paddle boarding tour and they said it was the best part of their trip! Would definitely recommend and will definitely do again! Thank you! We booked this experience for the whole family (2 adults and 2 boys aged 12 and 15). We all found it fun and enjoyable, and liked that it pushed us out of our comfort zones and challenged us. Nick calmly guided us through the basics and offered opportunities to take part in a variety of jumps gradually building up to higher level each time. There was lots of encouragement to try every aspect the coast had to offer, but no pressure if you preferred to take a different less challenging route. Every single one of us had a blast and enjoyed the experience on our own terms. A fabulous way to experience the beautiful cornish coastline from a different perspective. Both instructors made the experience fun, and we even got to learn a little local history along the way. Had a brilliant time celebrating a friend’s 60th birthday as we all love gin. Well worth the money, got to try any of the gins we wanted, would have loved (and would have been happy to pay a little more) to stay a little longer to savour the gins with their accompaniments. I was suprised with a room escape for my birthday and it happened to be Escape Hunt at Boom battle bar in Exeter. Now I have done a fair few room escapes so was looking forward to doing the alice in puzzleland, and boy was I not let down. The room was amazingly thought out you literally felt like you was in wonderland. As you’d expect room escapes to be full of puzzles and story line.This has to be one of the my favourites ive done. The host cat was amazing cheerful and welcoming. Chris and Steve were great throughout the day showing flexibility when our large group turned up slightly late due to transport. They also condensed their surfing lesson to let us have more time in the water when I informed them we needed to leave slightly early. We had an amazing time, I was with a hen party and we did a group surfing lesson and it was so much fun. There was a range of experience between us so Julian and Ollie made sure they catered for everyone! I personally have never surfed before in my life and they got me standing up on the board by the end of our lesson. Ollie and Julian were so welcoming and made us feel at ease the whole time.
