We came here for the day from the city centre Madrid. We were on a hen do. We managed to get a bus from the city centre to the water park. We had pre-booked our tickets and a VIP area for 89 Euros but we still had to queue outside in the line. Our VIP area was good as it includes chairs and sun loungers, lockers and our own private space. This was definitely worth it for the 7 of us. The park was actually a lot bigger than we expected as it has some great slides. We didn’t really have to queue that long for any of them. They have a wave pool and lazy river as well. They have a beach bit with sand. Overall it was a good day out and we had great fun. Something to do which is a bit different while staying in Madrid. See more..

A bit expensive for my liking, we had to pay 11 euros per person!! We went there last summer, the place was fine, big and spacious. You can see sculptures made of plants and also a wide array of cactuses. Bring food and drinks as the prices inside the park are quite steepSee more..
after the Madrid heat. We spent a Thursday in middle of July, which was ok with regards to crowds. Place is probably packed during the weekends. Plenty of grass along the riverside with some shade from trees. Best option is to bring your own food and have a picnic. Have to also mention that the place really clean even when comparing to my native Finland. See more..

3.5Fabrik(110 reviews) - Very Good clubbing experience Wednesday: Bars & Clubs
We have been at the fabrik club for the first time. The club has a Facebook page where yoy can see the upcoming events, and also find links to buy tickets. The only problem with the club is its area, it located 30 minutes by bus from Madrid center. But the club organizes special buses from Plaza de España with the cost of 2-3 euros. The club is very big and nice, great design, the toilet there are good and also the security and stuff were ok. I recommend to buy the tickets online and print them, it's cheaper and easier. Fuente de Hércules y Anteo. In front of the “Royal Palace you have the “Jardin del Parterre”, a nice garden who has the fountain of Hercules and Anteo on the end and bordering on the river Tajo. The fountain is the most spectacular part of the park, and when you return on you steps towards the Palace, on your right you will have a small bridge who leads you into the “Jardin de la Isla” on the right side of the Palace, also a need park to visit with some fountains and a small but very beautiful waterfall on the right when crossing the small bridge and heading towards the toilets. After this visit, comeback to the small bridge and leave the park straight ahead and doing so you arrive on the “Plaza das Parejas” or the Couples Square. Aranjuez maybe not that great, but it is a need place to visit.See more..

3.0Plaza Mayor(78 reviews) - A unique square with a lot to do, see, and eat Points of Interest & Landmarks
Built in the late 1500s in central Madrid, this beautiful square was originally built as an open-air ballroom (yep) by Spain's monarch of the times. The facades are decorated in brick and white, and the whole square is perfectly symmetrical. During the year different festivals and markets are held int he square. The colonnade under one side is featured in a Depeche Mode album, Songs of Faith and Devotion, if I remember right. Under the columns and all around are restaurants and shops. Honestly, stay off the restaurants as they are pure tourist traps. A great time to visit this square is december, when the whole space (and it's a big space) is a giant open-air Christmas market, where you can find traditional Christmas tree ornaments and lights, as well as nativity scenes to suit every taste and budget (including Spain's infamous "caganers", the figurine of a man pooing, which you're suppose to tuck away hidden in your nativity).See more..

3.5Coliseum Alfonso Perez(77 reviews) - You Won't Believe it is Madrid Arenas & Stadiums
Accesible through the Madrid Metro Subway system, this stadium is like most of the ones you can find on small cities through Spain, but it is part of Madrid, altough nothing has to do with the Bernabeu or the Vicente Calderon. This one is small and have a unique flavor, as if you know everyone who comes here every 2 weeks. The atmosphere is that of a small community and the stadium has some incredible point like the wall that separates the stadium from the highway, used by kids to sneak to the games. The home team is Getafe, which used to go from Division 2 to la Liga all the time, but it has managed to stay on the top league for a while. Nice option if you are a football lover.See more..

We went there on a hot day from Madrid by public transport. We took the bus 551, it took around one hour and then you have to walk 20 minutes to the beach going uphill. Actually it is not really a beach. But good we found a spot near the water and could alternate between getting suntanned and refreshing ourselves in the water. I think the best beaches are near the parking which is not close to the bus stop. We had a good time. The restaurants were open and we saw one that had a really great balcony view. It was a Friday so it was not so full but I imagine on a weekend it must get crazy.See more..

3.0Golf Park Madrid(27 reviews) - Beautiful, well maintained course Golf Courses
As far as public courses go, the quality of the greens here really takes some beating. Holes are all relatively similar length (70-90 metres) and it is a great course for children or players new to the game. I played with my children on a recent trip to Madrid and would highly recommend it. Just 20 minutes on the Metro north of the city centre and club hire is available. See more..

See more..
