I went to Mostoles to just stroll around and found the delightful museum my favorite part. I kept it for my last activity and it has stayed in my memory ever since. Not only was it free but it was full of amazing works. A contemporary space with contemporary works by provocative artists. Just thoughtful and amazing. Really worth the visit!

Wow! My quality art venue discovery of the year
I've lived in Madrid for 7 years and can't believe it's taken me this long to discover the CA2M! I was drawn by the current Jeremy Deller show - laughed my socks off, was provoked and thoroughly absorbed. Also terrific 'Punk' exhibit on two floors. So few people viewing the exhibits you feel like you're at a private viewing yet the quality is world class. I had a triumphant two hours at the gallery and want to go back again to enjoy the shows with friends. Some places nearby for a sunny lunch. Truly worth the 20 minute Cercanias train from central Madrid. (line C5)
