Madrid seems to specialise in these attractions, with multiple rooms tricked out in fabulous, imaginative, dream scapes for kids. The first part is guided with presenters setting the mood and scene and interacting with the visitors. Everyone receives generous amounts of sweets, so not for the calorie counter or diabetic! We went to see the Palace and what they didn't tell us was that it was a combined ticket for the Royal Barges Museum. We found this out when we read the brochure for the "tourist train"! We went back to the Palace and explained what happened and they gave us a free ticket. It is quite a long but enjoyable walk through the Jardin del Principe. Audio guides are available and I used one. It says go to the left hand side of the building first which was a little confusing. I was facing the entrance which is central. It is the left hand side when you have your back to the entrance and are facing the room. There are several boats belonging to various members of the Royal Family all in an excellent state and obviously well maintained. As well as the boats there is a collection of miniature canons. Also 2 very delicate "galleons" made out of glass. We did enjoy it. Sadly no photos, we were taking one just as the guide told us no!! It is a little blurred but I have submitted it anyway!See more..

Se ha proyectado un museo monográfico dedicado a la vida y obra de Ulpiano Checa. Se ha acrecentado la colección con adquisición de obra en Londres, New York, París, Buenos Aires, Sydney, Oslo y Madrid. Nuevas donaciones y depósitos han convertido al museo en el depositario más importante de su obra y en uno de los museos municipales más importantes de España. Contiene la más amplia colección de la obra de Ulpiano Checa (1860-1916), en gran parte pintura histórica de finales del siglo XIX, pintura orientalista y obra de género. El edificio, restaurado y ampliado, tiene su acceso por unos cuidados jardines, donde además del busto del pintor, se ubica un monumento a los elementos característicos de la ciudad: la piedra y la tinaja. In fact the museum is called "Museo de la seleccion Espanola de futbol". Barely known by tourists becaus there is no information about in Madrid city guides. Easy reachable by bus (45min from Moncloa metro station, busstop about 1km from museum). Located next to the training fields of the National Spanish soccer team. Very nice and interesting museum about the history of the Spanish national soccer team. You can see shirts, shoes, balls, cups, ... There is also a shop where you can buy t-shirts, ... A pitty it is not so known because it is sure worth a visit if you are soccer fan and on holiday in Madrid. If you totally don't like soccer, don't go!See more..
El lugar es un conjunto histórico muy bonito . Si estuviera totalmente rehabilitado y si potenciaran las fabricas que allí hubo ,seria un gran lugar de visita cultural . Necesita dinero para que lo rehabiliten todo . Y así poder ver realmente que grande e importante fue ese lugar . Really surprising. It's worth seeing the house inside. This is a reconstruction of an old house in Chinchon from the beginning of the last century with furniture and all appliances used in everyday life. The next part is devoted to agricultural work in the area and the production of anise.
